I have seen a lot of people complaining about this book being too simple...well, honestly, for me, I still can't play any of the songs in the book very well yet, so it is not too simple for me. I am a beginner, so I think it's a great collection. I don't think any fan of classic rock or The Beatles will be able to find a more complete collection of piano music anywhere. The book is after all, intended to help beginners learn to enjoy this music. My main problem I am having with it is that I keep getting lost with all this DC al Coda stuff, and losing my place. I haven't gotten that far in my lessons yet though, so I will eventually. But this in no way is a criticism of the book, it is just me as a player. I actually do wish that it could be further simplified so that there won't be so many codas and such, however that is what makes it real and helps a person learn as they will encounter sheet music with this eventually. I was kind of surprised at how more skilled players felt this book did not challenge them enough, because it is meant for old-fashioned home enjoyment. (The book says that public performance of any of these is prohibited, so there you go.) I have many books that are even simpler than this!!! I actually like playing, and this is what I got the book for: because I wanted something I liked playing. The book retails for 24.99 so where for $25 can you get 120 separate songs?I am a fan of Hal Leonard Corporation, this book's publisher. I have never had formal piano lessons, only various tutorial books from this same publisher, so the notes are easy to read, and what bits of the songs I have been able to play out of this one, sound like they should.Others say they want fancier music; honestly I don't think it hurts a more advanced player to improvise...I also wish the book were spiral bound; it would lay flat on my piano a lot better, because sometimes songs at the beginning or end of the book don't want to stay open, and I have to use other books for paperweights to keep the book open, but again, not really complaining. What I like the best is that these songs are unabridged, unlike samples you get in other sheet music. All in all, I really like the book and it is a nice collection of music to have with my piano. With 120 songs to deal with, it would keep me busy for a long time to come.

Easy to read and play. Music is basic but sounds really nice. It's exactly what I was looking for. Has so many of the good songs too!

I just started playing piano 4 months ago and wanted to play songs that I love and my friends and family can recognize easily... such as The Beatles... My teacher recommended to buy this book, and it turned out to be a very solid collection of Beatles songs. This is an easy version, but still allows you to develop and practice new skills. Every song sounds almost like the original... and I am always very happy when I succeed with one of the songs and proceed to practice another one!!! However, if you are looking for a pocket-size book, this is not your choice. The book is quite thick so be aware if you need to take it every day to your lesson :)

Requiere tener un nivel basico de piano, pero tras un curso o año de practica, es suficiente para tocar todas las canciones que vienen en este libro. Tengo otros volumenes, ninguno presenta las canciones de forma tan sencilla y facil.

Awesome piano book! I read tons of reviews prior to buying this version and all I can say is "Ditto! This book rocks!" I'm an enormous Beatles fan at 57 having grown up when the Fab Four were at their peak. I got a piano for my birthday and wanted to start out with anything besides the standard boring piano lessons and I wanted something I could do by myself. The other reviews raved about this book being so much fun and super easy to play. It really is great. My husband is an excellent guitarist who has been after me to play an instrument for years so we could work together, and he also adores the Beatles which he has memorized many of their popular songs, so now we play together and have a blast. One thing I did notice on some of the reviews I read before buying is how some folks dissed the book for being too easy. Everyone has a different degree of talent when it comes to playing the piano, and if you're into Beethoven and more complex material, then yeah, this may be a little lame for you. But if you wanna have fun, sing, and bang out some great Beatles tunes without too much effort and let the whole neighborhood join in then this is the book for you. All the versions of each song are included, and there are 120 songs from some of their first classics to their last debuts. I'm not rating this book because it's Beatles sheet music but because it's well made, the print is very large and very black which makes it incredibly user friendly for us blinder folks, and...uh, yeah, it's Beatles music. Gosh, if you don't like the Beatles then I wouldn't recommend it, but if you do, go for it. Well worth every penny I paid for it and then some.

This is a good piano book for beatles lovers. I am a beginner player so I cannot say that this is easy to play. I like that it provides both chords and notes to play with both hands. Song selection is good with many favorites. The reason why I am not giving 5 stars is that the book is a quite bulky and it wont stay upright on the bookstand. I found it easier to copy the pages and use as single sheet music.

My son (9 years old) loves the Beatles and playing the piano. So when I saw this book, I thought it was great fit. My son has been playing for around a year and a half and this book is just his speed. (My mother who took lessons for 4-5 years as a child can sit down and play the songs with little to no practice.) After hearing her play the songs, they are well arranged and sound like a simpler version of the original songs. This book is accurate being labeled easy piano. Definitely a step above a big note book and some songs may even be early intermediate. This book should be easy for a late intermediate to advance player that is interested in The Beatles music and just wants to play around on the piano. As for the book itself, it has quite a few songs and is fairly thick. This book is not going to lay open flat on you piano stand. We use a small paper weight to hold the pages open on the stand, depending on where we are in the book. There are many popular songs and some of the lesser know songs as well (lesser known to a 9 y.o. that is)My son loves the book and that is enough for me to give it five stars. It also has guitar chords in the book, so if you have a guitar player in the family, they can strum along.
