PURE LEAF ARTISTRY

At The Tao of Tea, we offer a wide variety of specialty teas as well as herbs and blends. Similar to grapes, tea plants (camellia sinensis) have many different cultivars, regions, processing methods, and seasons. Good tea tends to sell out very quickly and is seldom made in large quantities. Therefore, each season we work to secure exceptional-tasting leaf. We pledge to bring you teas that have great flavor, artistry and soul, and to help educate about tea origins, culture, processing and more.

JOURNEY RELATIONSHIPS

All of our products are a result of establishing relationships with tea people. Most of our teas originate in Asia and travel to other parts of the world as a result of our efforts. Along the way, there is a cultural exchange that takes place. The art of tea, at its highest level, involves deep appreciation for these connections. We pledge to savor our relationships as much as we do the tea itself.

This is tastes amazing! The osmanthus flowers come out beautifully in this oolong! It’s a great deal too since this tea can be very expensive.I followed its directions and my tea came out perfect (I have an electric teapot the brews at exact temperatures). I really recommended agitating the tea leaves in and out of the water when steeping to help the aroma come through! The only thing I would complain about is the paper bag it comes in. It’s water proof on the inside so it does the job of preserving the tea but I ended up using a different airtight tea container of mine since I was afraid the bag would rip if I accidentally dropped it one day.

Tao of Tea procures quality stuff. I have a very hard time being happy with any other brand (only a few others still ring my bell). This green tea is wonderful! I never know what to expect from an obscure sounding Chinese named tea. One time I bought something (not from Tao of Tea) that tasted like smoke and not much else. But I've come to be confident that when I buy from Tao of Tea, I don't have to know what the name says about the tea. I'm going to like it. I've tried several different teas and infusions from Tao, and every single one has been fabulous 😍. This one is no exception. Green tea at it's finest.

An exceptionally lovely blend of oolong and sweet osmanthus. Good color and lovely taste, but over-steeping makes it taste more bitter and astringent.Otherwise a fine tea.

Cannot claim to be an expert on oolong teas, but this tasted fine.Would not recommend brewing for more than 60 seconds or it may develop a funky flavor.

The tea gives the right color and smells like should. But it is missing some flavor. Either because it's old or just lower grade then we used to. This is the kind you can at the regular Chinese store in LA. We will probably still drink it occasionally but won't order again. For the price asked the tea should be better. The person who wrote the previous review probably (1) had the same tea but one year ago, time makes difference, (2) never tried Good tea.
