I thought I'd give these socks a try as they were at a great price. Well what do you know they fit me fine. I am size 7 (41) and these M seem a perfect fit. They are only a smidging thinner than my other Thorlos but that is because they are described as "light" rather than because they are a womens' fit. I don't know what the difference between womens and mens feet are but whatever it is it hasn't adversely affected me wearing these socks!

I started wearing ThorLo socks about 40 years ago. The reinforced heels & toes are helpful. These socks are great for exercising, like walking or jogging or any exercising. They help cushion your feet better than most socks.

These socks have a thicker heel that any hiking socks I’ve come across.. I suffer from plantar fasciitis so need that extra heel support. I also that they are 100% breathable cotton. I like them so much I’ve bought two pairs as gifts

I CAN HARDLY BEGIN TO EXPLAIN HOW COMFORTABLE THESE THORLOS SOCKS THAT THORLO MAKES. THEY HAVE SOCKS FOR EVERY IMAGINABLE SPORT. THESE CREW SOCKS HAVE MEDIUM PADDING AND I WEAR THEM DOING ORDINARY ACTIVITIES. THORLO SOCKS ARE MADE FOR SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES (HIKING, WALKING ETC.) I WEAR THEM FOR COMFORT DURING THE DAY AND AM NOT PARTICULARLY ATHLETIC. THE QUALITY IS AMAZING. THEY ARE EASY TO CARE FOR USING THE WASHING MACHINE. THEY COME IN DIFFERENT HEIGHTS AND THE COMPANY LETS YOU TRY ON A PAIR BEFORE BUYING THEM TO MAKE SURE THE THICKNESS AND HEIGHT ARE WHAT YOU WANT. THE PEOPLE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY EASY TO WORK WITH. MOST OF THE SOCKS ARE BLACK OR WHITE. I HAVE THORLO SOCKS IN WHITE AND WELCOMED THE BEIGE COLOR. THEY ARE A LITTLE EXPENSIVE. THE PRICE FOR THESE SOCKS WAS REASONABLE. I LEARNED ABOUT THIS COMPANY FROM MY SON'S FOOT DOCTOR. HE'S GT DIFFICULTY WITH HIS FEET. HE ADVISED ME TO GET CREW SOCKS WITH MEDIUM PADDING. WE BOTH WEAR THEM. I RECOMMEND EVERY SOCK THORLO MAKES AND AM THOROUGHLY PLEASED WITHEVERY SOCK THORLO MAKES. I VERY STRONGLY RECOMMEND THESE SOCKS.

Was looking for a heated sock for the crisp Minnesota deer hunting season and these worked perfect! Kept my feet warm - the app is nice to control the heat from my phone. Comfortable sock, fits great under my boots. Like that it also comes with bag to put socks into to wash.

I picked up my first pair of Thorlos hiking socks at a brick & mortar store over 10 years ago. I’ve slowly amassed a good selection. They are super comfy, lightly padded (perfect for hiking) with no itchy wool fiber, and they wear like crazy. I don’t recall EVER having to retire a Thorlos sock. So, while yes, they are pricy, IMO, they are more than worth the price in the long run! Almost all my socks are the slate blue color. They fit perfectly; 5-stars all the way! This order, I selected a 3-pack of the tan color. They still fit my foot perfectly, but they were tighter at the top than my blue socks, just barely uncomfortably so to start out. With wear & laundering, however, the tan socks have become just as comfy as all the rest.Speaking of laundry, I have always washed my Thorlos socks right side out. I just saw the recommendation to turn them inside out to launder, in order for the cushioning to refluff itself. I checked my well-loved socks that just came out of the dryer and found he cushioned sole of the socks are as fluffy as can be. So, washing inside out is not necessary, in my experience.

Update: After trying this item, noted the ball and heel padding is significantly less than Thorlo's long timestandard quality to my surprise. The material, construction, integrity/strength of the rest of the sock is same.***Have worn Thorlos all of my life. No other socks brand compares to the durability, comfort, and cushioning the foot for most sports.

Let's see, this is 2013. I first started backpacking in 2004, so that's where my love affair with Thorlo began, so.....9 years in love. Nine years ago, I bought a "six-pack" of these Coolmax Light Hikers from someone selling Thorlo irregulars on eBay. First, I wore them backpacking because they were just right for a cushioned ride plus moisture wicking plus quick dry after walking across streams. Then I wore them to work out in the gym, and then I wore them any other non-backpacking non-excercise time I wanted to be comfortable and warm, including sock-footing around the house all day. I owned NO other warm-weather or hiking sock, so you can imagine how much wear & tear these old socks got! OK, so this winter they finally started getting a little hole here, a little thin there, until I was down to 2 1/2 pairs, barely, so it was time to reorder. (Doing laundry more often to keep a fresh pair handy was getting old.) The ones I got in the mail are EXACTLY what I got 9 years ago---they feel and look like old friends. Admittedly, I was shocked to see how the price had gone up since 2004, but once I considered the amazing run for the money those 9 year old socks had given me, I just want to say, "THANK YOU THORLO!" In this day and age of cheap, cheap, cheap, you are nothing but quality, dependability, and value. I just feel bad you had to wait 9 years for me to buy from you again, but hey! I didn't need to, you're so good at what you do!
