I use this as part of a home-made puller. In that application, I suggest using Grade 8 nuts and grease it up. It is easy to gall the threads when using the rod to pull or push.

It was exactly what I ordered. The description was a 1/2 diameter, 20 threads per inch, and 12 inches long. I was hopeful that the seller would send the National Fine thread that I ordered. I would buy from the same seller again.

Threaded rods of this gauge are usually coarse threaded, but this one is fine threaded, which is what I needed to complete the automatic door mechanism on my bus. Arrived super fast, too!

Made a quill stop for my drill press using this rod and a quill stop. Worked great. Sure beats turning double nuts to adjust stop setting.
