  • Note: If you install the throttle shaft bushing for the first time, please use sandpaper to polish the blade of the reamer first and reduce the outer diameter of the blade. Because the outer diameter of the bushing is almost the same as the outer diameter of the reamer, you need to reduce the diameter of the reamer.
  • Kit includes: 8 pcs Made of solid brass Processing bushings and one carbon steel reverse-cut piloted reamer. Please check if the size of the Throttle Shaft matches the product before purchase!
  • Reamer size: knife edge diameter 10.9mm, Knife handle diameter 9.5mm
  • Brass Bushing Dimensions: Outside diameter 10.95mm Inside diameter 9.52mm
  • solid brass CNC machining

If you need custom bushings and reamer, please leave us a message, you provide the drawings, I provide the products, and the cooperation is happy!
The carburetor model for this kit:
GM TBIs
Carter Thermoquads
Holley 4-barrels (including muscle car carbs)
Ford (Autolite) carburetors and more
How to use the kit:
1 Remove the throttle shaft, clean the carburetor damper blades and throttle shaft
2 Using a hand-held variable speed drill (recommended bit size is 10.5mm, smaller than the actual aluminum hole 0.1mm), drill the aluminum hole of the carburetor throttle shaft
3 Reaming operation using the 7/16" reamer included in the kit
4 Insert the front of the brass bushing into the aluminum hole
5 then pass the throttle shaft through the brass bushing
The role of the reamer: improve the accuracy and coaxiality of the aluminum hole

Reamer cut alright for a moment then quit cutting. I'm not sure if that became clogged with aluminum or what, but just like many others state the bushing dont fit the hole you just made. They fall out. Not only are they too thin a wall on the bushing, they are too big ID. Almost as sloppy as it was before I installed. Dont waist your money. Just go buy a new carburetor and save a headache.

Actually the OD is just a smidge over 0.430 so maybe the bushing are closer to 10.93mm.Still, they are NOT 11mm OD and they do not have a press fit after using the supplied ream. What I will end up doing is not reaming all the way in so these bushing will not touch the butterflies and JB Weld to hold them in.I.D. compared to my throttle shaft is about 0.004 difference. Other bushings or shafts may vary.

Almost useless when the initial cutting edge on the reamer was nicked and dull. I did what I could to sharpen and managed to cut/hone one base plate, but I would not use it on another base plate. One star because the bushing were ok.

While the reamer works fine, the bushings supplied with it are not the correct ones. I had to purchase oilite bushings to use because the ones that cam with it are too thin and are loose in the hole.

Reamer is way to big the bushings fall out. Bushings themselves are also to big i.d. for shafts to fit and seal. I glued the bushings in with gas tank repair and aluminum dust mixed together and peened them in place it works good now. I'd use a drill next time and buy bushings that fit.
