My journey with this radio has started from excitement to skepticism. I enjoy the Bluetooth programming and wireless copy functions. However, I ordered a 2-pack and immediately had a faulty battery for one of the radios. It does not appear that you can buy an individual replacement battery for these radios, and a slow response from the seller cause me to return them both. Then I purchased an individual radio with a desk charger instead. I liked the functionality , feel and price point so I hadn’t given up. The second radio was perfect so I bought another individual radio again. This radio however would only transmit in simplex. Any attempt at duplex transmission led to the radio transmitter flickering.Still in love with the price and features I tried again, Amazon replaced with an identical radio and I wireless copied with zero effort and it seems to work.Takeaways after owning for a couple weeks- It does seem that if transmitting while usb charging the battery gets hot. Desk charging is probably preferred. There does seem to be a lack of aftermarket batteries, extended batteries, other accessories that one may appreciate from the baofeng world. Seems like QC may be mid for these transmitters and batteries but hopefully you get lucky and if not Amazon is ok with returns.

this a great little radio with lots of features. The receive is excellent on it. It does fm broadcast, ham radio, gmrs, or unlocked for both. The one big negative on these radios is the power output. I had 3 of these. When tested on a diamond meter one radio would not even move the meter and my friends could not here me so i had to send it back for a replacement. One did 3 1/2 watts while the other one did 4 1/2 watts. Other reviewers have said there’s did 6 to 7 watts. Tidradio needs to fix this. Other than that it’s a great little radio. A reviewer said Tidradio had a software program for adjusting the power levels however he could not get it to work and gave up on it.

I saw this for $32. How can you go wrong with $32 radio. It's built solid. Have had no issues at all. You can unlock both Ham and GMRS or have one or the other. Speak is clear and the display is colorful with no issues. Probably the best radio for $32 compared to more expensive options.

I believe that my TD-H3 was returned by someone else as it had a bunch of frequencies installed. I managed to update and eventually loaded new software in that made the radio work even better. Yes, I'm happy with the very flexible radio, but not happy it was previously used and returned as new.

Fantastic little handheld. Works great for my local repeaters. It also can be set to not just be a "HAM" radio, but also for "GMRS" or "BOTH". Easy to program by multiple ways, but using CHIRP remains the best. The super extra best thing about this is it's USB compatiblity. It's so great to be able to charge my handhelds with USB vs. 'finding' the right compatible dock. Glad an inexpensive radio finally makes it to the year 2022 and have this method of charging. Their is also a separate USB plug on the radio itself, this one is for "PROGRAMMING ONLY", however, that's great as it makes CHIRP programming easy... while it remains compatible with the legacy 2 prong plug, USB Is way better (and faster).Frequency find function is good too... Press and old the "*" key to find the nearest transmitting frequency assuming the target is within a few dozen feet of you.The manual is well written (for a China product), with no severe problems. Also, there are many youtube and other online videos providing further support for this radio.Anyways, definetly a few steps up over the common Baofeng. Good job TIDRADIO. I'll probably pickup a few more ...

This is a great little radio for $36, 2 batteries, desktop charger, 2 antennas, Earphone /Mic.Been a HaM for 35+/- years. Had many of the big 3's HT's, lots of money as much as $600, alsonumerouse Baofeng modelsYou need to read the book and do a some research on the web, lots of info and You-Tube'sReciever is very good, with a bit of configuring will transmit full power on 220, 3 Band Radio.3 modes of operation, Ham, GMRS, Normal.. go with normal and menu 52 enables 220 transmit.Very good clear display with lots of information. Seperate A & B PTT switches.Programs easy with Chirp and a $10 cable, same as Baofeng.Build quality is above average. Can't go wrong for $36

Just celebrated my 50th year as a licensed Ham Operator. Looking back at the various equipment I used in those past years, I was totally amazed by this little radio. When I say little, I don't mean tiny; I mean a radio that fits easily in your hand. It has a 2500ma battery and it lasts! I get a full two days+ out of mine although much of that time is spent monitoring or scanning the frequencies. You can transmit AND receive on 2m, 70cm, and 220. The radio is FCC approved and testing has shown it to be clean and within the limits the FCC specifies. The screen is small but very easy to read. You can monitor 2 frequencies at once as well as transmit on them. The only thing I wish was included on the display is an SRF meter. There is a small antenna icon on the display that displays vertical bars on receive, but I would prefer an SRF display. I can't say enough nice things about this radio. If you want a good VHF/UHF experience from a solidly built little radio, this is the one to consider.
