This is very sturdy and yet lightweight for my fur babies. They can run around as though they have nothing on but they do!

I ordered this to replace the thin tie out cables my husband bought where the hooks rusted as they aren’t covered in heavy vinyl like this one. Just metal, so naturally it rusts. The tie out cable:I love that it comes in a bag. It’s just a thin bag, but it does the trick and will store nicely when not in use, or more importantly, when traveling. The cable is thick and so is the plastic coating, and it’s nice is there are color options. My favorite feature of all is the fact that the hook is coated with a vinyl type material that will prevent rusting as the metal isn’t exposed. Just what I need! I need something that I can keep outside and not have to worry about rusting. We have enough property where our dogs can do some roaming, but once one of them had peed in my neighbor’s yard, and despite not ever meeting her yet, she chose to come over with the person that lives on her property, whom we had also never met, and proceeded to come over while my husband was leaving work, and had him roll down the window to tell him that our dog peed in their yard one time! No, how do you do, or tucking away this one infraction to watch for a pattern before going to your neighbors to complain, but rather made the choice to meet us for the first time to complain about our dog peeing once in their yard. What was even more shocking is that she stood there expecting my husband to grovel and apologize profusely. Hence, I started tying them up, as I want to respect our neighbor and I realized that peace with my neighbor is more important than becoming defensive. The thing is, I have only caught one of my dogs “once” in the neighbors yard and are very obedient smart dogs and are not puppies anymore but are seniors so they know the rules. At this point, all my golden girls need to do is look at me, and I can figure out what they want. Okay, the pool of what they want is small mind you so it’s not that hard to figure out what they need 😜. At this point, they have me trained very well and know exactly the times of day they will get their treats so they start stirring right at the designated times. Problem is my cats got in on the action, and now I I’ve become the treat slave for 4 animals! 😜 Ah, but our kids are grown and far away and I can love these babies for their whole short lives, and no matter how old they are, they are still my babies.Sorry I digressed! The tie cable is worth the price tag and I realize is more expensive than the basic ones that rust, but if that’s what it costs to have a good quality tie that works and was designed to work and last, then so be it. It’s worth it! My dogs are worth it, and so is my peace of mind.

J'ai essayer plusieurs sorte de corde et cables et c'est le seul à date qui résiste à mon golden retriever de 65lbs. Je conseil cet achat sans gêne .

Both of the clasps have broken within a month. The screw no longer holds the clasp in place. Our dog has gotten off her lead and ran off twice because of this. Disappointed, because before they broke, it was working wonderfully.

This cable seems like a solid, medium-duty option for those needing a good combo lead for their dogs. I like that it has carabiners with screw locks on both ends, adding a bit of extra security, and the coated cable seems durable enough to withstand some moderate pulling. However, I wish the hardware was a bit sturdier, big dogs can be quite adventurous at times. The gauge of the cable and hardware is a little thinner than I'd like, so I wouldn't recommend it for dogs who are prone to heavy pulling or testing their boundaries. It's a good option for medium-sized dogs or larger dogs that are more relaxed on walks, providing a good balance between durability and lightweight design. The price point is a bit high compared to other options on the market, so it might be worth shopping around before committing to this purchase. Overall, a decent choice for those seeking a medium-duty cable lead.

This is the 2nd one of this same cable for my small dog (he's about 10lbs) in about 3 months. The bright green outer coating on the cable wears off quickly, exposing the wires and cord inside. I had to buy one again because I need the certain clips that attach to his collar because he can figure out how to get out of a regular one. PLEASE make the outside coating more sturdy, especially if this is marketed for WAY larger dogs.
