NOTE: DO NOT POWER THE HAND WHEEL VIA P-TAP

Introducing the Nucleus Nano II – Wireless Lens Control System, the ultimate tool for filmmakers seeking precise control over their lenses. With advanced features and seamless compatibility, this system revolutionizes lens, camera, and gimbal control.

The new and improved Hand Wheel allows users to utilize the Main Dial to adjust Focus, while the new Control Rocker effortlessly handles Zoom or Iris functions via a dampened Rocker, perfect for easing in or out of zooms. Navigating through the system has never been easier thanks to the new 1.6” Circular Touch Screen Display and user-friendly interface which provides quick access to an array of advanced functions including dedicated pages for lens mapping and camera control functions. The Nano II allows users to wirelessly adjust camera settings via WiFi, Bluetooth, and the motor’s USB-C port for compatible camera systems such as Canon, Sony, Black Magic Design and can handle up to 4 motors for Focus, Iris, Zoom, and Mirage VND when used with the included Control Handle. This handle powers from a Sony L-Series Battery (F550/570) and can send power to the Nucleus Nano II Hand Wheel for extended battery life. It also features a focus dial on the front that can be used to control both Nucleus Series Motors and the DJI Focus Motor via the optional Wireless Receiver Module (not included) which can also be utilized in order to wirelessly operate the DJI RS2 or RS3 Pro. The handle features a 1/4″-20 thread with locating points, perfect for mounting our Right Angle Rosette Adapter as well as a cold shoe receiver, which can be used with our optional Cold Shoe Mount in order to create the perfect focus pulling station when used with the Hand Wheel. The current firmware fully supports all controls for the BMPCC 4K, 6K, 6K Pro, and partially supports Sony FX3, A7S3, A7R5, ZV-E1, ZV-E10 and Canon R7 for settings such as Run/Stop, Shutter Speed, ISO and Iris while Run Stop is currently supported for camera systems including all mentioned above as well as Sony A7C, A7M4, A7R3, Canon R6M1, Panasonic S1H, GH6 and S5M2 via an optional USB-C Run/Stop Cable. Additional camera systems will be made compatible in future firmware updates. The lens mapping control screen offers real-time focus distance information, allowing you to stay informed and in control of every frame without relying on physically marking a focus disc while an internal battery powered by USB-C, offers up to 20 hours of continuous power, depending on usage. The Nano II is our most compatible system to date featuring compatibility with DJI RS2, RS3 Pro, DJI Focus Motors, Nucleus M and the previous generation of Nucleus Nano, ensuring a smooth workflow for users who already utilize previous iterations of the Nucleus Ecosystem. Equipped with a high-performance motor, the Nano II delivers five times the torque of its predecessor with convenient USB-C power input and output ports, perfect for chaining together multiple motors from a single power source.

Note: Some features listed above at launch are not fully functional in the current firmware. DJI Ronin/ DJI Focus Motor Compatibility, Lens Mapping, and other features will be implemented in future firmware updates. Camera Control functionality is only compatible with select cameras at this time.

**Canon and Sony cameras are currently only compatible via USB-C PD Cables and Black Magic Design cameras are only compatible via Bluetooth**

When using Lens Mount Adapters: Nano II Bluetooth functionality will only be possible when using officially supported lenses for the specific adapter.

The Control Handle NATO Mount is only intended for the Nano II Hand Wheel. Do not connect other accessories via this NATO mount or you will risk damaging the contact pins.

Buyers be aware!Paid for a new device but received a used one.Frankly, the delivery was super fast. But when I opened the box immediately found something unusual: first, the box was unsealed. second, some parts were not in the positions where they should be.Here I'd like to share a few photos for the buyers to show you some signs of usage. As an official seller of Tilta, the condition of a product should be stated clearly on Amazon list, whether it is a new, used or repaired. It is not a good idea to hide this kind of important information to buyers hoping one can't observe it or lazy to file a complain.Yes, I didn't find that there is any functional defects on this item but I'm disappointed with the ways of Tilta doing business.

I was very doubtful of buying this product in the beginning. Many reviews say it's fidgety and unreliable. I've used it in several works so far and it's great. I love to pull focus with the wheel attached to the handle. Or in a shoulder rig with the focus handle. The motors are very strong, they work even with my old Helios 44 which is very stiff, I advise keeping them in the lower settings of torque. On the other hand, it is well-built, quality is top-notch, but it does feel a little bit delicate, I wouldn't want to drop it EVER.I wonder why people criticize this nice fiz system, my only guess is they come from Prestons and Arri systems which are huge and can take a beating. I really like this one, even the type c cableMy only complaint is that it came without the circular screen protectors which I've seen in some youtube reviews

Tried Connecting this system to my tamaron 70-180 mm lens.... it connects to the dial just fine, however, if i use the rocker to adjust the zoom, the motor vibrates and starts blinking a red light, the only way to recover is to power down the motor and power it up again... there is zero indications what is happening and why the motor is going into this state.. the documentation doesnt help either to help narrow this down... this is a great concept, but needs a TON more training and documentation to help users use this.

For the record, I already have a Nucleus M kit. I bought this as a back up set for my kit. But man this thing is really good. Great torque, very easy to connect, and the usb-c connection just coming in handy. (It’s not also easy to get D-Tap connection for Nucleus M like when you’re using a gimbal)

Ordered the Nano 2 out of curiosity and to use it on a shoot for my B Cam, but ended up really enjoying it. The motors are very powerful, much more than the original Nano, and we had stuff lenses so it helped.I liked that I could map the lenses too, which is a great feature for the price. The it was very flexible too, being usb C powerable, so we were able to use it on a gimbal with a bigger camera with an NPF battery plate. The overall foot print is super small, but has a lot of good improvements over the old Gen and even the nucleus M. Good stuff Tilta!

one control wheel can pair with two motors, zoom and focus. There is a rocker for zoom and you can change to the speed you want it to be. It works surprisingly well. If you use it on a mirrorless/DSLR camera, it works just like a powered zoom on a camcorder. You can also use two sets of motors with two control wheel if you want to control zoom on one hand and control focus on another hand.

I like the feel of it, but would not connect to the motor. Then when you try to switch the lights to the focus color, it seems to want to switch colors as you calibrate it. I wish mine would have worked. I have a shoot next weekend, this would have been fun to use.

It has a lot of functions, but also a pretty long user guide. After a few emails with the Tilta support I got the custom-made video to show me the upgrade issue and my Sony FX3 camera control questions. To resolve the 2% upgrade issue, to enter the upgrade mode, you have to hold the motor button and then plug in the cable to port 1, once you see a green light blinking, then you could upgrade. They said they would make the upgrade more friendly in the next firmware. For connecting to fx3 initially I thought I could just do it by Bluetooth or wifi, after I read the user guide. I figured that I will have to use a USB-C PD cable from the motor to the camera. I wish Tilta could make a video just talk about this in the near future.Overall, I am very happy with this investment.

We did some tests with it and love its design, intuitive GUI, and responsive & smooth motor. It's sleek and easy to rig and use. Until we used it on our first shoot and about 20 minutes in it suddenly stopped working. As far as we could tell, it was still connected and everything appeared to be normal, but the motor wouldn't move. The motor didn't die either, because we could hold down the button to have it find macro & infiniti... it would spin just find to find that. But the the motor wouldn't respond at all to the focus remote. We are giving Tilta the benefit of the doubt on this one, as we are still new to using it; perhaps it is an easy fix? But we had to abandon it and resort to focusing by hand for the rest of the shoot. Not a great first impression.
