This appears to be a good replacement for my 30 year old spa mechanical timer that recently gave up. The functions, and the instructions are pretty good. BUT, it comes close to being a fail, because there is no back light on the display. The old mechanical timer had an easy to read display even underneath. No way with this timer. It needs more light than I have handy. Luckily it is close to a set and forget, so as long as it is running, I'll not be looking at it.

If you want to spend $60 or more for a name product that replaces your broken timer, go ahead. This one works just the same and is just fine. Electronics are not that hard to copy and they did a fine job with this one.

Clearly states in the description that it can do 12/24 clock but this model is only programmed to do 24 hour military time.
