Concise and contains numerous information. More of an information booklet. The topic headings could be larger to make reading on a subject easier to find.

I just opened mine and started reading. Wow, I'm always thinking about little things that would be good for my car the survival kits I make for my family (thanks to Creek Stuart) but this goes far beyond what I have thought of. I love my survival kits for last minute impromptu walks off the beaten path. "Creek Stuart" (you can find him on the weather Chanel on SOS and Would you Survive, and also has the most comprehensive info on edible plants and trees and how to make syrvival items when lost) is a fantastic teacher for getting the average person to start thinking about survival with what you have on hand and teaching everyone to go far beyond that. This particular book is written by the (Cargen Brothers). BUY IT!! I only read this little book for about 5 minutes befor I had to write about it!! It is Packed with info for everyday ordinary little things you need to pack into your impromptu survival car kit!!You will not be disapointed!!

I just got this in last week. Read it. Enjoyed it. Learned some stuff. It will be going into my primary bug out bags and onto my Christmas Gift List. A great stocking stuffer, Company Christmas Party white-elephant gift, or Father's Day Gift.

Some topics may seem a little unrelated, wasn't expecting things like common phrases in the main languages around the world, but it's like a pleasant surprise too; to learn a little more than just wilderness survival, but real world survival..!(Already marked off a couple pages I wanna read/retain the most..)Somewhat random, but also useful information; it's like watching those shows like "Mysteries of the Abandoned" and other history things, where they show information not necessarily related to the specific event/mystery, but they're still interesting facts to know..!And my favorite part is the size of this book, handheld and small, so you really can take it with you around the world so much easier..!

This survival guide is pretty small (5"X4") and very thin. The print is very small but it comes with a credit card sized fresnel lense to help with reading, which can also be useful for fire starting. It also comes in a zippered baggie to keep it dry. It's a great size for the glove box, or your bug out bag.The first few pages are a listing of items recommended for your survival kit. This is stuff you should already have in your kit, I'd think a booklet this size should stick with using the stuff you have on hand. But I think they are trying to cram as much info into it as possible. The rest of the booklet does have some good information on survival skills that will help you in an emergency, as well as basic life skills. They cover the usual skills; like shelter making, fire starting, navigation, improvised traps and a few edible plants. All in all, it's a good booklet to have on hand.

Bottom Line: An absolutely invaluable guide, and not just for the typical “survival situation” that comes to mind (e.g., trapped in the middle of nowhere with nothing but your imaginitation and will to live), but in any unexpected situation, urban, rural or otherwise.Full Review: Let me start by telling you I’m a “civilian” (i.e., not active military or a veteran — thank you for your service, to those of you who are, by the way) and even I found this little guy to be amazing. Vital and to the point information that could literally save your life in compact form. It may be small, but it most certainly “packs a punch” with the wealth and variety of information contained within it.Even if you somehow end up not needing it (which I highly doubt will be the case) the price is well worth it. It contains information from how to charge a car battery to how to estimate the amount of sunlight left in the day, from how to properly fold the American Flag to how to obtain safe, drinkable water from urine (and yes, it’s totally “doable”). I’ll be sending one to family and friends and recommend you do the same!

Wow I am very impressed with the ACW manual! It’s compact with a ton of information. The quality is great. It has a lot more information than I’ve seen in other bulky survival guides... and the best thing about it is that the book is small enough you can fit it in your back pants pocket. Although I wouldn’t recommend that. A manual like this should never be bent or damaged... it should be treated like gold and kept safe in your kits. I’m glad it was sealed and protected in a thick ziplock when I received it in the mail.Look no further if you’re looking for a compact manual. It’s brief and gets to the point. ANYONE can benefit from it. Has everything in regards to survival from a list of items and their uses, edible plants, conversion charts, to how to jump a car, a ruler printed on the back, and so much more. It even has facts as well as quotes on the bottom of the pages which makes it very entertaining as well. Every kit or day pack should have one. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. So worth it. I’m definitely buying another one for my hiking backpack.Superior customer service as well! ACW goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. They get back to you ASAP and are quick to resolve any concerns.
