Durable and very well engineered. I keep one for trout and recently bought a second to go with my salt water kit. Very easy to change out or add spools. Strong locking mechanism and all metal construction is great compared to cheaper rigs with plastic clips that inevitably snap over time. Great gift for the fly angler in your life.
