many years ago a master carpenter advised me to have end cutters in the bags at all times. great advice. i use them to remove finish nails without damaging surfaces and for getting at nails that a hammer claw or cats paw can't get an angle on. also good for removing big splinters or that 16d sinker you planted in your thigh

An offset cutting edge would improve function. Can't grip anything less than 3/16-inch height unless you use them sideways. can't find large nippers with an offset cutting edge

I should have known. Needed some longer nippers to reach up and clip off some smaller non galvanized nails tips coming through a subfloor between joists. The one side broke off the very first time I used it, with just standard pressure. Complete junk.

Think I got a defective pair because it struggled to cut some pretty thin copper wire without a lot of effort and multiple tries.
