Can't adjust it to tighten down my DV-8 hood enough, latch is too long. Other than that, I would have given these all five stars. Heavy duty material and quality.

fisicamente se ven muy bien sin embargo el cofre hace mucho ruido ya que de donde viene sujeto tiene juego, adicional a eso los tornillos por mas apretados que esten se aflojan con el movimiento y provoca que sea muy ruidoso el cofre en mi caso se me perdieron los tornillos con lo que se sujeta la base que va en el guardafango ya que con el movimiento se aflojaron y se calleron y en el mercado no existe refaccion de ese tipo de tornillo

Love the look. The locking pin is great. Keeps the hood closed and anyone out. They need to be locked otherwise the potentially could vibrate out.

I have a 98 Jeep Tj, item fit perfectly onto the original holes. I think the mechanism works great, definitely great materials! I tried as hard as I could to pull it off and it stayed on no problem.

I think these latches are great, they are much better than the stock latches I had on there. They close tightly and provide great security to the hood. My only issue with the latches are the key length. It is a short stubby key with kinda long phlanges, which I find if the engagement pins are in a certain direction, sometimes the phlanges can hit the hood and scratch it if you’re not careful. If the key was about an inch longer it would be perfect. I may snip the key a little to make the handle shorter so there is no risk of scratching. Otherwise, a great product.

Easy installation just remember the cable faces towards the bumper. Took less than an hour to install both sides. Has gone through the balance of this winter with no discoloration or rust. Hood doesn't bounce and the units look rugged. Went with these as other units that use a key didn't look too solid and I wondered about rust. I had an attempted theft on my 21 Rubicon and easy access to underneath the hood is the 1st step to eliminate and these did the trick. Although nothing is theft proof this will deter and or take a little longer to get underneath my hood. I would recommend these as I have had them for 5 months now without complaint.UPDATE: Went through the 1st Canadian winter with these and the cable rusts inside the plastic coat. Now that it is spring I will need to remove, repair and somehow make presentable.

Hey folksLets start with the bad. No instructions. But the most difficult thing to figure out was using the key. Install took 20 mins. They provide hex keys you provide metric box end wrenches. I was missing a lock nut. Trip to store fore 54 cent nut. It's adjustable. Hood sits tight and the connection is rock solid. Should never need replacing.
