Let me start by saying the instructions are a pain. They're done in tiny little pictures and no words, and it was very hard to decipher. I managed, but it took longer than it should have because of it. It's a little wobbly, and I didn't expect that with a turntable stand. The top shelf is 2 boards instead of one, and it doesn't look right even with the turntable on it, so I put a scarf on it so it doesn't show. It holds quite a few records and looks good with the covers showing up top. It would've been so much better with the top shelf being solid, though.

I've gotta be honest here-I'm pretty impressed with this stand!I picked it up for the suitcase record player we have in our bonus/game room because it just floats around with no real place of it's own. It's perfect for that (it's literally made for it, so it should be!), but when I had this all set up, I thought of about 6 other places where it would come in handy and useful! This is much more than just a record player stand!☆ARRIVAL & UNBOXING☆This arrived not even 12 hours after I placed my order. It comes packaged in a plain (but labeled) cardboard box in typical, flat pack furniture style. The pieces were all well protected/wrapped, so there was no damage, dings, dents or scratches upon arrival. There weren't any missing pieces either.☆ASSEMBLY☆The included instructions were easy to follow and this isn't a difficult unit to put together at all. I had it done, by myself (and I have issues with my hands) in about 12 minutes and didn't have to go back and 're-do' anything or utter a single swear word the whole time. They include the tools needed for assembly, which are small, basic and not the best. Instead of using my own tools (like I usually do) I used the ones provided and still got this done quick!☆QUALITY☆I take a little issue with the fact that it's claimed that the board on this is 'solid wood', and I just don't agree with that. It's not a slab of wood that came from a tree and got cut to size and finished, rather it seems like compressed 'solid wood' particle board. The powder coated iron pieces are nice- not super thick, heavy or bulky, but sturdy and durable. The oxford cloth slings are poly cloth, but they don't look or feel terribly cheep or flimsy.True to the listed dimensions, this has some decent height. Even with that (and with both pockets loaded up) this is quite studry. It doesn’t wobble, tilt, lean and it's not top heavy. You can easily take things in and out without the unit teetering. Would I secure it to the wall if I had rambunctious kids around? You bet! But since I don't, it's fine standing alone.☆AESTHETICS☆This doesn't look cheep, chinsey or dated. It doesn't look like a piece that costs hundreds of dollars either. It's pretty simple and clean- and that's what I like about it! It's not an eyesore and it let's the player and albums become the focal point, which I think is pretty cool.☆VERSATILITY☆Again, this IS made to be a record player stand, and it does that VERY well. This is the PERFECT set up, with a ton of space for album storage, including space (up top) for the favorites/most played albums. The platform is the perfect size for a suitcase player or a nice turntable. One of the better highlights is the fact that the ledge (where the player sits) is higher than the typical stand. It's not at chest level or anything, but it is tall enough where you don't have to bend down to see what your doing.Like I said earlier, this would be useful in a ton of other places too! Due to it's size (it's not tiny, but it doesn't take up heaps of room), this could be a great printer stand, would come in incredibly handy in an office/home office, would work well in a mud room/entry way (as a catch all for keys, papers, etc), it would be super useful in a laundry room or even a bathroom (extra space for product storage!).☆FINAL THOUGHTS☆This isn’t one of those pieces that you're going to pass down to your kids and it's not going to last forever. But I don't see this being rendered useless in 3-5 years either (even in my crazy house!).This is a lot more affordable than other options- even those that look just like it. It's also a LOT more versatile than the cabinet style stands (that are back breaking low). The price ($55 at the time of this review) made me buy another unit. I just had so many ideas once this was built that I couldn't help but pick up another one at that price! This isn't a Henredon or Edra piece, but it's nice, it's beyond affordable and it's useful!

At this point I have literally spent about 5-1/2 hours trying to put this 22 piece (NOT COUNTING BOLTS) of furniture together thanks to the worst instructions/illustrations I have come across. The size font is not made in America it is so small. I still technically haven't finished and have the last 4 top pieces to put in place, but there are just a couple of ways they could go together but it has taken me way too long to get this review out. That being said, it is shaping up to be a nice looking, sturdy and well designed stand for my phonograph and records. I put a dime on the instructions and took a picture to drive my warning home. Graciously gave 3 stars because the piece came out well.....finally.

Was relatively easy to put together. My 74 year old father just loves it! It fits nicely in his room. He loves the functionality & it looks great! He can finally take his records out of his vintage peaches record store crate and put them on display. Very good value for the money especially compared to other stands. He uses it everyday, in fact as I'm typing I can hear deacon blues by Steely Dan emanating from his room. I would recommend this to anyone thinking about purchasing. Thanks for taking the time to read my review

Its a really nice option for your record player and albums without taking up a lot of floor space. This was prefect for what I needed. A small footprint where I could store a handful of records and my record player. Assembly was really pretty basic. Everything you need is included although I choose to use my own tools since they are higher quality and a lot easier to use (electric and such). Instructions were pretty standard for this sort of thing. You have to pay very close attention to the steps, its easy to get turned around. But nothing can't be reversed if you do assemble incorrectly (I made a few mistakes I had to back out and do again). The area this takes up is pretty small so its really perfect for a record playing stand if space is an issue for you. I think the price is fair for the quality of materials used in this record stand. The end product looks very nice and is sturdy.
