I'm happy with the purchase. I messed up on cross slide scale measurement. It was easy enough to cut to size.No regrets.

Has worked well. Communication with seller was good. Like all import stuff, the instructions are useless, and mounting hardware is just general hardware, and user has to cut/fit/ design, but is to be expected.

Purchased this unit in early December and received it Mid January. Installed it on a lathe and happy with its performance. I am not happy with it's programing. Tried to change the direction of the counter as per the user manual with no luck. The second thing I have tried to change now and will not work as per the user manual. Sent the company two emails now on the issue and the response I got was to go into another web site to get the manual. Tried that site and it does not open. Now the message portion to the company to request more information is no longer available. Not impressed!

DRO and scales work fine.Installation takes a while to do, but worth it in the end.Couple of words on installing it-Model all the parts if you can including the guards-The covers come with endcaps. Model those too because they can interfere with other components-My lathe is cast so there are no flat surfaces. I had to machine some myself. WD40 on it until you paint it later-There is a total of about 2mm of play between the casing of the glass scales and the sensor. Its also spring loaded somewhat. This is good for an assembly. There is also a red 1mm spacer in there. Keep that in until you have everything installed, then pull out the red spacer. The spacer keeps the sensor at a nominal set point of 1mm with a +/- tolerance of 1mm-Move cross slide towards you. Tighten that end of scale with just enough torque to hold it in place. Then move the cross slide away from you and tighten that screw. Move back and forth and assure no binding occurs.-I have a shop light right over my lathe bed. I had the light right at the level of the display and could not read the numbers. I am going to lower the light so it is just below the DRO.More notes to follow

I ordered this DRO after watching many YouTube videos of folks that have bought the same or similar. It works exactly as it says it will, as backed up by indicators and micrometers in my shop. There is a process to dial in error. In my case, there wasn't any worth messing with. If you want it balls on to the tenth ... you can make those calibration adjustments. For the new machine hobbyist like me - beware, this is not for the faint of heart. It is not hard, but very meticulous and time consuming using tools far less accurate that what you've become accustomed to (In many cases I hand drilled holes in the lathe body). From the videos I watched, I fully expected this level of effort. I had to fabricate some brackets, drill and tap many holes on my lathe, machine some standoffs, etc. If you've had a small lathe or mill for a while, this isn't a big deal. It took me 4 evenings after work to get it done. The good news is that the scales were designed for this expected less than accurate drilling. They are slotted and allow you to adjust finely running an indicator along the scale until it runs parallel.Hope this helps!

There are no installation instructions no bracket to mount screen with various missing nuts and bolts would probably be better off to pay a little more and get what's supposed to be with it

I was using one of those bargain DRO's it wasn't working for me, so I decided to purchase a better one. I purchased the ToAuto because of the excellent reviews, and also all the helpful tutorials available on YouTube. I want to make sure, the glass scales are the proper size. The representative from the seller, made absolutely sure I was getting the proper length scale. The complete kit arrived two days earlier than expected, wonderful surprise. Now as far as the units concerned, form my pictures you can see it is in-service, and performing excellent, super accurate. Update 2,4,2023, DRO in service for several months, we had a job I wanted to share. This is called a detent plate, used to control production machines, the ToAuto DRO made it easy, and fast.

For the money, this is a great upgrade to my home-shop lathe. The instructions are not clear for the initial device mode setup (mill, lathe) but the seller's video helps. In lathe mode the x-axis can be configured for diameter. You can specify the direction of both scales so there is no concern about mounting orientation. There are no scale installation instructions but honestly, if you can run a mill or lathe you should be able to figure this out. The head unit can perform a lot of different tasks and calcs and it has a large tool library. The head mounting system is sloppy, but a novice machinist should be able to fix it. The kit comes with nice scale shields but they simply didn't work for my installation so I bent aluminum flashing to protect the scales. This kit requires a lot of planning and a little bit of time and effort. The installer will have minor problems to overcome - just like any fun project will. I give it 5 stars because it was exactly what I expected and is accurate.

Exceptional quality and functionality of this DRO system for the price point. Linear scales mounted easily to my Standard Modern 1334 Lathe and perform with greater accuracy and repeatability than I expected. Extra mounting hardware was also a bonus. I just needed to tap a few holes to mount the scales and shields. I also applied silicone sealant between the shields and lathe cross slide & bed to keep coolant fluid off of the scales. The system has worked flawlessly for over 6 months with regular use.
