This mat is made from solid PVC, and it can take a beating. It keeps my carpet looking fresh despite all the rolling around I do in my chair. The transparent design means my carpet's color and pattern can still shine through. It’s like the mat is there, but it’s not.Surprisingly the dimensions of 52"×36", this mat doesn't feel as big as other chair mats are. The T-shape is a nice touch, making it fit in spots a regular mat wouldn’t. It also really stays put. The non-slip texture keeps the mat in place. No more annoying shifts when you move your chair.And as an added bonus, cleaning is super easy; Just a quick wipe, and it's good as new.All in all, the Office Chair Mat for Carpet with T-Shape is a solid buy. Quite small for a hard (or semi--hard in this case) under-desk matt; but, if you're not concerned about your desk chair(s) rolling off the side of the matt, it should be adequate for their designed purpose.In other words, because these matts are rolled up for shipping (which is very convenient for same), they are not very stiff like such matts that are not rolled up, and that are shipped in a large, flat box. Yet I am pleasantly surprised by how sufficient these "softer" under-desk matts are.I wish this matt was wider so my desk chair wouldn't go off the edges at the side(s); but, otherwise, it works very well.

This Chair Mat comes rolled up.The first thing to note is that one side of the mat has numerous spikes (the side that will be in contact with the carpet) - so be careful when initially unrolling this mat.The spikes do a good job of getting the mat to stay in place.It is a bit difficult to fully unroll the mat; so, I unrolled the mat at one end and placed 10-lb weight plates at that end. Then, I continued to unroll the rest of the mat, and place more weight plates at the other end of the mat.I left it like that for a day. I then removed the weight plates and the mat has stayed flat on the carpet, without rolling up.After a couple of days of use, I noticed that my chair leaves indentations on the mat. Since I mostly sit in the same location, the indentations don't go away.note: because of the indentations, rolling the chair on the mat is not as smooth as I'd like.The mat has not yet shown cracks. Granted, this is a short testing period, and, I do not roll on the mat too often (in order to decrease the wear and tear on the mat). If I need to move, I stand up, move the chair, then sit down. It's inconvenient; but, it helps prolong the life of the mat.Overall, this mat is doing what I want it to do: minimize the wear and tear on our carpet.

I have used multiple chair mats for carpet however all of them broke quickly. So started looking for fiber glass based mat however those were very costly. So as last option, thought to give this chair mat a try. Got the mat and put it on carpet and very happy with the purchase. The thickness of the mat is very good and it is very durable. It is cost effective and value for the money. Recommend it.

This mat is on the soft side so it's suitable only for very low pile carpet. It arrived rolled up in a box. The instructions give some tips to make unrolling easier. My own tip is leave it in a warm spot for at least 15 minutes, which softens it and makes unrolling much easier.This chair mat has small spikes on the bottom so it cannot be used on tile or wood floors.Overall it's a decent mat but again it's only for very low pile carpet, such as tight woven commercial carpet.

Not a very good chair mat. I have this on top of low pile carpet and the wheels of the chair make depressions in the mat making it awkward and difficult to roll the chair. Compared to our other carpet chair mats, this one is clearly inferior. Too bad.

I’ve gone through several chair mats at my dining room desk over the years, and it was time to replace yet another one. Let’s face it, they never last forever. This is a good quality PVC mat designed with cleats specifically for low-pile carpets. It measures approximately 35.5 inches wide by 50 inches long. There is a lip that measures roughly 20 inches wide by 12 inches long, so the part where your chair fits occupies about 3 square feet. That’s pretty standard and more than enough room to roll the chair back.The mat comes tightly rolled in a long box. There are instructions inside, if you need them, so be sure to check the bottom of the box. It says to remove straps on the mat to unroll it, but mine didn’t have any. Getting the mat to lie flat is the toughest task, and the instructions say it helps to warm the plastic first by placing it in the sun, using a hair dryer, or sticking it in a hot shower. Perhaps that would help, but I just placed it down on the carpet and worked it into position under my desk. It will flatten on its own soon enough.The mat fits beautifully and should last several years, based on previous experience with PVC mats. The cleats grip the carpet well and I’ve yet to experience any issues with the mat sliding. It is flexible enough that your chair wheels will indent the surface, but it will help protect your carpet and pad. What typically happens is over time you develop a ring around your chair and the PVC eventually weakens and cracks, so I can’t vouch for the longevity of this product, but overall it is exactly what I would expect and I enthusiastically recommend it.
