Products goes great on a 2021 Trax. I added led light strip, reflectors, and reflective tape. Takes a bit of time to build, as instructions are not too clear (I found it best to not to snug any of the screws down all the way until the very end, so it was easy enough to take screws out as needed). It was one of the few narrow baskets I could find, and a 2” hitch size is a plus. The locking mechanism is easy to use, as long as you watch the product video in the listing. I do recommend it.

This roof basket was great for our 2300 mile road trip. It was attached to our Subaru on Yakima 48” aero crossbars and sat next to a narrow Thule roof pod. We carried our tent and an inflatable kayak in the basket tied down using rubber Adust-A-Strap bungee cords I found in the outdoor section at Walmart. Worked perfect. Everything stayed tight even during longer duration drives at 70 mph.

We have likely an atypical application: trying to add roof rack space on an Isuzu NRR double cab truck.We also bought from Amazon an Hyperax XL rack primarily. That also seems great, but we had around 20” of remaining space. This fit the bill.As an atypical install, I had to drill new clamp holes to fit the wide bar width. Good product except the Ubolts…mine came with two of them having bad threads and unable to use. No way of getting replacements or an answer even, from the seller. Not very happy!! I have to return it..

Pics:1st- Something to consider if you frequent automatic car washes.2nd- These are much easier to install on the tubes prior to installing the tubes. I wish I had known that. Instructions showed putting them on after.3rd- Finished product waiting for me to decide whether to put it on my truck rack or the van rack I ordered.Assembly was pretty easy. Having a place to lay out the pieces within easy reach while assembling on a flat work surface made a big difference. Being able to keep the side I was bolting close to the edge made for easy turning of the wrench.Pay attention to weight distribution when loaded like shown in instructions. If you have something small but heavy consider something like a piece of plywood to distribute the weight. I have no doubts this will hold 200 pounds when properly distributed.Great product. Great value.

Quality control is lacking with this brand. I purchased two cargo carriers; both had poor welding and obstructed the threads where bolts need to be inserted, making a tap and die useful.
