AT1202 Features & Installation Modes
Smart Chip
- The “auto-close” function ultimately secures the property after you leave.
- Stops in case of obstruction during gate opening, and reverses in case of obstruction during gate closing. Adjust the stall force to get your desired open / close obstruction sensitivity. Higher stall force level, lower obstruction sensitivity.
- Soft start and soft stop ensure a long-lasting performance.
- The above modules can be adjusted on the smart control panel directly.
Gate Capability
- AT1202 gate opener works well for the heavy duty dual swing gate up to a maximum of 18ft. in length (correspondingly 250lbs. in weight) per gate leaf.
- Suitable for the swing gate up to 880lbs. in weight (correspondingly 4ft. in length) per gate leaf.
- Kindly note that the max. gate length capability is inversely proportional to the gate weight.
Max. Opening Angle of the Gate in Pull-to-Open Installation Mode
- The gate is allowed to open inwards viewed from inside property with the pull-to-open mode. The related bracket is included.
- In this mode, the maximum opening angle of the gate varies from 68° - 112° depending on the installation of the bracket.

Manual Release Key & Multiple Power Modes
Manual Release Key
- Equipped with manual release key in case of power outage or when you lose your remote.
Power Mode 1 (Default Mode) – Use AC Electricity Only
- Use the 110-120VAC electricity to power the system only.
- Recommended where AC electricity is accessible and stable.
- The power supply cord is included.
- The specification of the power supply cord is 2C × 18AWG (2 × 0.75 mm2).
- Connect the live wire and neutral wire to the (#1) and (#3) terminal respectively. No matter the polarity.
- Release the clutch and open the gate manually in case of power outage.
NOTE: The tiny CR2025 3V button cell batteries that come with the package are ONLY for the remote control.

Does the job well, I love my TOPENS automatic gate openers!I hired an electrician to run the electrical and hardwire the motors and control panel so it was a bit of a project to get ready to install but that had nothing to do with the openers themselves. Once installed there were some issues that customer support helped with. They are very reponsive, very nice and though they did not always provide the best solution they definitely were always helpful and steered me in the right direction to find a solution.Once I got the gate openers to operate it took a little adjusting to get them to close the way I wanted but once I figured it out it was very easy to program.The motors are definitly affected by the cold! They open and close better, more completely when it is not so cold but still works appropriately despite the cold.All in all I LOVE my TOPENS automatic gate openers and would by them again if I had another gate that needed them.

I bought this dual gate opener to replace a Mighty Mule opener That I had for a number of years. The main reason for the replacement was I needed to replace the control circuit board for the third time and they charge an unbelievably high price for them. I just got tired of paying almost as much for the board as a complete opener cost. We live on top of a hill and lightning is really hard on circuit boards. So in searching for a new opener, I searched the cost of replacement circuit boards for the different brands. Here's the deal. Mighty Mule replacement board $400. Topens replacement board $70. I think I will rather pay the $70. Now to the Topen opener. The price is very good for a good opener, seriously just a little bit more than a circuit board from MM. Installed it and the first thing I noticed was how quiet the system is. If you are not right by it you can not hear it at all. The opener installation was easy and worked right out of the box. I did have one installation question and received an answer the same day. I can't talk about longevity because I installed it 2 months ago, But so far so good.

This was a cost effective do-it-yourself project that does the job without spending thousands for a commercial contractor's product. It is fairly easy to install if you have basic handyman skills and follow the instructions carefully. I highly recommend reading the instructions completely before and during installation as they are clear and prescise. The one instalation error I made I itially was quickly fixed by Lori via her email support. I highly recommend the Topens AT1202 dual gate opener.

I wasn’t able to install this in my gates because I have large brick columns on the entry gates which inhibit the travel of the gate and they will bind and not open. The only way these openers work on large columns (mine are 25x24 with the gates centered on the column) is to have the gates mounted off center, close to the side where the operator is mounted. Aesthetically this doesn’t look right to me, but it would allow the gate to travel to 90 degrees which is all the way open. This is not mentioned in the product description so be aware of the limitations. Also I waited to install these due to availability of contractors and can’t return because I’m outside the return window.

Quality is soooo bad! Don’t waste your time, energy and most importantly your money on this! The housing is plastic and once you buy it you can’t return.. no customer service of course like many many other Chinese made products.. programming takes a while to figure out with instructions that are hard to follow and understand and after a week of working the openers plastic hinges broke off the gate! With no return policy!!

This product is heavy duty and works great. The arms are easy to install and to set the parameters for opening and closing. The control board is a little Trickey and took the most to understand. However once I figured it out, it worked well. I would have liked the instruction manual to be clearer to the specific arms I bought and not different ones in the same manual.

Since it took nearly a year to get an electrician to run the power line, I recently installed my AT1202 gate openers. The installation instructions provided are clear and concise, making the DIY installation relatively easy. Once the arms were installed, fine tuning the operation of the openers was made easy by the numerous options available on the control board. After fine tuning, the operation of the openers was smooth and consistent, until they just stopped working after about 50 times of opening and closing the gates. Topens customer service rep Joyce was very fast to respond with potential solutions to this problem, and ultimately determined the issue was caused by a faulty control board. With less than a month remaining on the warranty, Topens sent me a new control board and installation instructions, and it took about 5 minutes to replace the control board. The gates have been operating flawlessly since.
