AC Electricity Powered

- The specification of the power supply cord is 3C × 18AWG (3 × 0.75 mm2). Connect the live wire and neutral wire to the “L” (1) and “N” (2) terminal respectively; and connect the earth wire to “PE”.
- TOPENS DKR500ST, DKR1100ST, DKC500S, DKC1100S, DKC2000S solar sliding gate openers are recommended if you want to power the gate by batteries and solar system.

Smart Chip

Note about the Chain
- The roller chain has gone through strict process for high quality, allowing for the optimum toughness of all component parts, as well as increasing metal fatigue resistance and pre-lubricated for wear resistance.
- The package includes 20ft. roller chain. The length of the chain is adjustable.

These Topens motors are very smooth running, quiet, and very easy to install. Take your time making sure your motor is positioned so the chain brackets line up with the motor sprocket and everything is in a straight line. Get your magnets installed and everything where you want it BEFORE putting power to the motor and the set up will be a breeze. The only issues I've had setting these up is when we put power to it first and then start messing with magnet placement.

The gate opener works fine, typical installation but I find my gate opened and closed without my intervention. I noticed on my camera system that the neighbor across that has the same gate opener his fob opens and closes both gates at the same time. I looked at the manual and there is no way to reprogram the gate opener. Also I noticed on this item it is no possible for me to ask a question.I went to Topens website, the tech support was quick to provide me with a solution which was easy to implement and my gate works fine now. I am happy.

Their products are very low quality, cheap magnets that dont allow door to close falling off and they DO NOT HAVE a CUSTOMER SERVICE even when you call their phone # they refer you to email them, its a scam. Why have a phone number that has automated system refering you to email them. Run away and return item. One star is to much. I had to pay installer and removal if their cheap motor. Im out alot of cash.

The door opener is heavy, good quality and looks solid.The device that does not force installation. I also watched the videos.The use of these devices is now necessary for heavy doors or long doors. Easy to use because it is remote controlled and I want to set it to work with solar energy at the first opportunity.

Everything included in the box seems made well, all the hardware is solid, the main motor unit is HEAVY. It really doesn't seem to me that any quality in the working parts of the opener was obviously skimped on to meet the lower price point.Thought we could use this at a family members place who has a rolling gate that has to manually be slid open but installation requirements of this are more complicated than I thought. I figured this kind of gate opener would be easier to deal with than a swing gate opener but there are some gotchas. It requires a concrete pad to fix the motor to (interestingly enough, they actual have instructions on how to prepare this), asphalt is probably not going to cut it in the long run as it tends to not be very thick, gets soft in the summer and brittle in the winter... it would probably come loose in no time. If you already have a concrete or otherwise similar ground material at the side that you can securely bolt into then you're in good shape. Beyond that, by default this does not come with a ready-to-plug-in power cable, you can make your own plug in cable if you have an outlet you want to use or hardwire.The actual mechanical installation to the gate is straight forward but just needs some care to ensure alignment of everything, the motor feeds the chain back and forth through it and you attach the chain to ether side of the gate you want to move - easy other than making sure everything is level. Two magnets get attached to either end that get sensed as they pass by the motor housing to tell it to stop. It's nice that it uses polarity to determine the directionality - other cheap ones I've seen use actual positioning of the two magnets which is harder to get exactly right. The included instructions are actually VERY good, considering this is a much lower cost option than some more recognizable brands you expect there to be terrible instructions if you're given any at all but Topens provides thorough and professional instructions.

Current price point at the time/date of this review: $472.00 with a $53 off coupon currently being provided by the seller at this time. Not the cheapest I’ve seen on the Amazonian market, however if you’re comparing quality vs price, it’s a good fetch. And when comparing the price of one of these units to a retailer outside of the online aftermarket arena, well, expect to fork out. To be clear, there are cheaper units than even this particular model (to my surprise and contentment) however this unit is solid and works great.Comes with just about everything you’ll need to get started - some wiring however is required - and assuming you have at least half an idea what you’re doing than you should be fine. Otherwise, if you’re not handy, nor resourceful, or just generally a pansy, then consider getting some outside help. I’m kidding about the “pansy” remark, it’s understandably complex without the proper knowhow.This unit comes with two wireless remote controls, build quality is a little tacky, but didn’t really expect too much to begin with. Good stuff.
