I install the replacement expanding gas cylinder onto the vent lift assembly at 45 deg. F so it was fully retracted with no problem. With minimal adjustment it starts opening the vent at 80 Deg. F and is fully open at 90 Deg. F. The original cylinder failed last fall due to a gas leak after 1 years of hard use.

How do you expect anyone to buy this product if you don't provide specific measurements of length of opening, thread type and size, hole placement, etc. on the product illustration?
