TOPPING Pre90 is a pure preamplifier with two analog inputs,one Line Out output,and one balanced output.

It is also equipped with an aviation connector connected to an extender Ext90 to provide more input interfaces.

Ultra-High Performance NFCA modules

Pre90 uses the similar NFCA (Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier) module from flagship A90. Voltage Current hybrid feedback architecture along with UHGF (Ultra High Gain Feedback) technology provides excellent DC and AC performance. This preamplifier becomes extremely revealing and produces a large soundstage after about a month of continuous break-in with either music or pink noise. It's bright and light out of the box. I'm extremely happy with mine. There are many complimentary reviews on YouTube. I trust the iiWiReviews (is it Worth it). I listen to naturally recorded classical and jazz music. This preamp is probably overkill for most rock or pop music.

i used this product for all but 2 hours and already on the marketplace for sale. There are better pre amps out there.

I use it in a Benchmark , Mytek and PMC system and it belongs in this ecosystem . Sonically, it’s transparent and that’s what I want in a preamplifier. Remote is bit crap but there are easy fixes for that. I bought the “HOUSON IR Infrared Remote Control Extender Repeater” and that fixed the issue.Love it and believe it to be a great value preamp.

My Decware headphone amp did not have enough gain to work well with my HFM HE6. I solved that by adding this preamp to the signal chain. It is impossible to make an immediate A-B comparison of the sound with and without the preamp but I do not notice any adulteration.

Once added to stereo chain between my dac and amp. There was a noticeable improvement in the overall sound details. Bass tighter and midrange and highs clearer.

Remarkable detail and dynamics, open, transparent and QUIET! My Freya S, in all but passive mode, had a very noticeable background hiss, audible from 3 feet away on my desktop setup, and intrusive when using headphones. The Topping is dead quiet. It's a little disheartening, though, seeing it on sale for considerably less than what I paid. The same thing happened with the SMSL SU-10.

PRE90を一聴して、音痩せがないことに驚いた。音の質量感が凄い。コンサートで腹に感じる低音が戻ってきた。ピアノはピンコロと鳴り、弦は朗々と響く。往年の巨匠が鮮鋭に蘇る。音が薄くて遠ざけていたレーベルが、実在感を伴って生き生きと鳴る。数十時間鳴らしていると、音抜けがさらに向上するようだ。　またこのプリは、小音量の音量段階が広大だ。一般的なプリだとボリュームを９～１０時まで回すと爆音になってしまい、無音からかすかな音までの音量調節幅がほとんどなく、小音量再生には苦労する。能率の高いスピーカーに大出力パワーアンプを組み合わせたりしたら地獄だ。このPRE90は－99.5ｄBから+16ｄBまで、0.5ｄB単位で調整できるので、はじめて思い通りの調整ができるようになった。　一般的なプリアンプは、精度を出しにくい摺動式ボリュームを使っているため、小音量時のギャングエラー（左右音量差）に悩まされるのが普通だが、PRE90にはギャングエラーが感じられないのも素晴らしい。

Decent, if a bit bright sound. Worlds worst remote control. You need VERY good aim and need to be directly in front of this unit for the remote to work. Might as well not sell this with a remote. It’s worthless.

First off this is the best sounding preamp I've ever owned. It replaces a Schiit Freya +. I also have had Audio Research SP10, VTL 2.5L, Benchmark DAC2 HGC, and more. The detail and separation is superb. Soundstage is expansive and this little sucker has amazing PRaT.The remote is weak - fortunately it works from my listening position.I use the XLR out to my amp and initially had my sub connected to the RCA outs. This didn't work at all, the output broke onto a high frequency oscillation when the sub was turned on. The RCA cable is 12' long. Even with the sub off having the RCA cable connected affected the sound quality. I'm now feeding the sub high level from the power amp speaker outputs.
