High Resistance System - Ideal for Building Muscle

pool weight for water exercise, water weights, aqua fitness, pool dumbbells, aqua aerobics

The Aqualogix Bells are a dynamic piece of equipment that allows the use to create varying amounts of resistance by simply changing their intensity or orientation of the bells. All the bells start with little resistance at slow tempo, but resistance will build with an increase in intensity/tempo.

pool weight for water exercise, water weights, aqua fitness, pool ankle weights, aqua aerobics

The Aqualogix Hybrid Fins are easy to put on and take off. The design works with all ankle sizes and even small youth wrist sizes. Larger ankles will benefit from being able to space out the four fins for more equal resistance.

  • Resistance is relative to the size of the piece and the speed at which they are moved through the water. The medium resistance is considered an "all-purpose" size and works well for most users. Stronger individuals should opt for the High Resistance.

  • The High Resistance Bells will provide the most resistance of the range at any given speed. They are commonly recommended for those that want the highest resistance at any given tempo.

  • Aquastrength Bells are only available in one resistance level which most closely compares to the Medium Resistance Bells. The Aquastrength Fins have a dual strap system for secure fitment that is easier for those with dexterity limitations.

  • Most users will be better suited to the Medium Resistance, especially if you like to work at high tempo (HIIT style). Many customers actually have a set of both as it is easy to switch bells for different exercises or style needs.

So the hand doohickies are great...usable while jogging in pool or while standing still doing just arm movements... they are easy to use and no problem... they are big though and hard...so had trouble hauling them to pool etc...bought a larger backpack and solved the issue...I find the ankle fins difficult however...I guess I am not getting them tight enough on my ankles as they move around too much especially when jogging back and forth in the water...the fins slowly change position, rotating, on my ankles and are in the way of each other! So for now will use them in a more stationary way...they still rotate but not as fast! My arms are definitely looking different after using them for a couple of weeks...

I’ve been using the Aquabells and ankle thinggies for about eight weeks now. Others on a forum suggested them after I discussed hand pain using the gym’s foam “weights”.I really like the workout I get with them, particularly the ankle devices. It’s not til I take them off for cool down that I realize how much drag they’ve created, on everything from running in place to leg kicks to flutter kicks (those in particular).I ordered the blue set, which is the highest resistance set. If there was an even higher resistance available, I’d def consider moving up.The aquabells have a pistol grip in one direction and a slightly different grip and drag when rotated the other way.I no longer get the hand cramps I got with the foam dumbbells. I still use the noodles and they still give me cramps so I’m probably going to go to 100% aquabells. The ankle wraps do come loose once in a while, but if you thoroughly soak them before putting them on, and then tighten them again a few minutes later, they generally stay in place with no further trouble. You do have to be careful not to whack your (and others!) ankles, knees, feet and hands with them because they stick out a pretty far piece. For things like cross country skiers, jumping jacks etc the bells give a lot of resistance. For things like “stirring the pot”, and water hugs and pushes they are darn difficult. I feel like I’m getting a very good upper body workout with them, a good supplement to weight training I also do.The bells have no floatation at all, so I do modify for pendulums and “suntan/Superman”, however, I think the modifications are more core intense than the original version with floats. Was a little worried that they might shatter easily (if something’s within twenty feet, I have a tendency to find and either run into it or trip over it). They are bulky. I often walk to the gym, for cardio before pool, so my husband brings them when he drives up. If I ride my bike, they take up my entire-and very spacious- bicycle basket.I keep them in a net shopping bag in the garage so they can drain between classes and wash them down once a week.So all in all, very pleased, and would highly recommend for you’re wanting to up your aquafit or water aerobics game.BTW I ordered them , and the confirmation said a week’s delivery time. I was astonished when they arrived the next day.

I'm a water fitness instructor so take my gear seriously. I like this product.I ordered the pink set which is the medium level of resistance. They're just right for me. Easy enough to move around and yet enough to get real resistance. Pink color is nice, not as garish as I expected. The pink is decent and sort of "uplifting".Here's what works:- hand holds are extremely comfortable - ergonomic design - I love holding them- Ankles seem loose at first, but play with the velcro - you will find a way to make it stay firm to your ankles- The set makes for a really good water work out in 20 mins a dayHere's things to be aware of:- Be sure to wash them off in cool water after each pool use. Chlorine can discolor the plastic.- Don't leave them to dry off in the sun. Sun can discolor the plastic.- Don't drop the hand bells. They are sturdy but will chip (probably) if dropped. I baby them to keep them nice. I bought a special bag with a bit of padding for carrying them to the pool.- You should know the hand bells are too big and bulky to travel with (by plane) but you could toss them in your car for a week getaway easily. The ankle pieces by contrast are smaller and could go with you in a suitcase more easily when you travel.- Some people complain about the price for value. I got my set for $119. For the amount I will use them I think the price is OK. Sure, I would be happier paying $85-90, but having said that, I don't feel ripped off -knowing they give me a good workout and I will take care of them so they last a long time.Happy water workouts!

I recently had shoulder surgery and needed to build my shoulder and arms back up. I tried free weights and machines only to exhaust my shoulder and create too much pain to resume exercising within a day or two. These resistance weights are easy to use in the water but give you a very good workout. You can do chest presses, fly-backs and range of motion exercises without the exhaustion because of the continuous movement of water. Within three weeks of three times a week workouts with these water weights and I started seeing the tone and strength come back. Don't let the smooth resistance fool you, three sets of 30-50 reps and by the time you hit bed, you feel the soreness. The next morning you are sore but no pain, just the reminder of the workout. If I had the time, I would be in the pool everyday with these weights. I am a female, 57 years old and I am getting the tone and strength back. Now, the lower body fins, move around your ankles no matter how hard you fasten the velcro. Given that, I still wear them for stabilizing my body and core. I do not use them for swimming laps as they move around too much and I have clipped them with one of my ankles when swimming. All in all, good price.
