  • AVAILABLE IN QUART AND GALLON SIZES. Coverage (sq ft/gal): 1st coat: 200-250; 2nd coat: 300-400. NOTE: For teak that has a gray appearance, clean with TotalBoat Teak Cleaner, then sand smooth, in the direction of the grain, with 220-grit sandpaper

Keep teak wood looking its natural, golden, beautiful best with TotalBoat Danish Teak Sealer. Ideal for new and restored teak, it saturates and seals the grain to keep out the dirt, water, salt, and humidity that make wood look dull, dark, and dirty. It also protects against graying and fading. Even if you like the teak on your boat a little gray and weathered, it can be costly to let it deteriorate because you may have to repair damage to plugs and bedding. Our outdoor wood sealer repels water without creating a surface that's slippery when wet, so it's not only ideal for beautifying tables and trim, it's perfect for decks, cockpit, handrails, and swim platforms. And although this total boat teak wood sealer was designed for teak, it's also ideal for mahogany, ipe, sapele and oily hardwoods.

Not just for boats, this long-lasting teak furniture protector is also great for your outdoor patio set, dining table, chairs or other teak furniture exposed to the elements. It's the only teak sealer outdoor furniture will ever need! For easy upkeep, just reapply when the beautiful, natural golden color begins to fade. To ensure desired results, test in a small inconspicuous area first. Before you begin, if teak is gray and weathered, clean with TotalBoat 2-Part Teak Cleaner, as directed, and allow to dry completely. Danish Teak Sealer is easy to apply with a foam brush or clean rag. After 20-30 minutes, wipe away any excess sealer on the surface. Wait 8 to 12 hours to allow the first coat to soak in, scuff with an abrasive pad, and apply a second coat.

My husband used TotalBoat Danish Teak Sealer to refinish and protect our teak dining set in the backyard. The color is beautiful, exactly the tone we expected for teak, and there has been no water damage to the wood, so the sealer works as advertised. We're very happy with the final result.

Used to seal a new teak patio table and 8 chairs. This sealer is not clear - it has a significant yellowish color to it. The furniture looks darker than the new untreated teak but I think it looks pretty good with this applied. 32 ounces was just enough for one coat on all 9 pieces applied with a foam brush and then excess rubbed off with a rag. Takes a good 2 days to completely dry and still has a significant chemical smell.

I researched what sealer I needed for my new teak deck furniture and found this was highly recommended. Danish Teak Sealer is easy to apply and kept the lovely golden hue of my new furniture. A couple of weeks after applying the sealer, we had rain and the sealer did it’s job! I plan to order more at the end of the summer to keep my furniture in great shape!

I bought this the first time four years ago, I have used it to reseal our four-piece teak conversation set and two-piece Adirondack chair set each year since. It gives a nice colour finish and is waterproof. I didn’t think I would bother to write a review for such a product that I use once a year, but here I am.I would have expected it to have dried out and to then have thrown it out a while back, but it was of an excellent quality and consistency to the last drop. It came with a sponge brush, pot, a flat spatula-like device to open the lid and pins to keep it closed, the sponge brush, in particular, I never thought would have lasted either, I have used it quite roughly, but it lasted until now and the sponge only started to show wear this year. The replacement I just bought at dollar store broke after one use. This is an excellent buy. The price has gone up since I first bought it, but I just bought another pot as you can find something cheaper, not better value. The first time I used it I spread it quite thickly and it was greasy for days. A very small amount goes a long way. In good weather, it will dry quickly the same day. You can then do a second coat afterwards. Sponge off every drop when you are finished and the brush keeps its texture/ remains soft and you are ready to go next time.

I liked the ease of application and the finished appearance of the Danish Teak Sealer and I will use it again. However, it is so thin the wood just soaked it up. Also the finish does not dry with a hard finish so it was difficult to tell when it was dry and cured. Too, I didn't trust the pigment to not get off on clothing but it did not.

I've tried many finishes for teak, but this is the best I've used yet. It dries quickly, appears to last a long time, and resists mold -- which is something you will definitely see if you use something like standard-issue big-box teak oil. I used this on a teak shower bench I built, and it has done an outstanding job in a very high humidity (wet) environment. One note: I was surprised by how yellow it looks in the can. When I first opened it, I couldn't see how it would produce a nice result. But it really looks great when you get it on the wood. It's also very, very easy to apply. I am becoming a big fan of Total Boat products: Really superior products.

Have two teak steamer chairs that are about 14 years old. They are in good condition and not a weathered grey. Wanted to give them a fresh look, more natural teak color, but most "teak oil" products are not really good for teak wood (so I have read on the internet). Found this product Danish Teak Sealer by Total Boat on Amazon. Did more research through the internet regarding the product before I purchased and was satisfied with the reviews and product details that it would meet or exceed my expectations. The product was packaged and delivered with no problems. Total Boat included -stir sticks, 2 plastic containers, 2 foam brushes, 2 strainers and even protective gloves. You don't get that kind of attention to detail anywhere else. Prepared the chairs by lightly sanding with a palm sander, 120 and 80 grit sand paper. Cleaned all residue off chairs. Finally, application of sealer. Product applied very nice, it is "watery" if that is the correct term and did not need a lot of product to cover the wood. I took my time and made sure the application was even and no drips or runs. The wood finished as one would expect with teak (if it has not greyed) to a warm honey color. Absolutely, completely satisfied with this product and would highly recommend for any teak application. I actually used it on three wood top tables (not sure of the wood) and the finished result was very satisfactory. The wood does have a "paint" smell so it is best to allow the wood to vacate for a few days in fresh air. I think this would be standard with any type of paint/sealer application. I highly recommend the product. Of course always test an area to be sure the end results will be what you want.
