I like the lighter weight of these for the minis. Love the break away idea, it’s worked as it should when needed.. replacement leathers are also available if needed. Fair priced..

After putting this on my mini donkey it looked cute and fit great. Then an hour in he became restless and we couldn’t calm him so I went to remove the halter and it had eaten I to his nose. When we pulled it off it took skin and hair with it. We had him at the vet luckily that’s why we had it on I. The first place. They said it was a chemical reaction and suggested we never use it again. They had to treat his wounds and I had to continue to treat the wound for over a week.

I have been using these beautiful halters for years. They do what they are designed to do, break away! Well made and beautiful! I love these halters and so do Topo Chico and Willie Nelson my mini horses 🐎I order the small to fit my guys!They are comfortable for the minis and they fit perfectly!

I have a small mini and most small halters fit her and are a little big. The small size of this halter was WAY to small! I wish they would put dimensions in with the description. But I could not find any. It seemed well made. I am going to order another but not sure of the size even yet:(

This is the smallest halter I could find for my thoroughbred colt. It was a little big on him at 2 weeks but fits him very well at 1 month. Nice quality halter. I bought the same halter in a larger size to use as he grows.

Nice little halter. Ordered large for my large mini and it fits her perfectly. Leather does seem to not be the best quality, but you get what you pay.

I bought 4 of these. Would buy 4 more without hesitation. The only thing that gave me pause was that the leather pieces were tanned in India and so the leather smells bad at first because of the way they tan their leather there. Put some leather conditioner on them and set them out side your living area for a day. The little leather accent pieces are pretty. I don’t need them for the break away purpose. I do pony rides for little kiddos and needed some fresh looking halters. After the shelter in place order I needed to buy budget items. These fit the bill. One review said the leather piece that goes across the pole was too thin, I did not find that to be true with any of the ones I got. I got the mini - large size and it fit my large minis as well as my medium minus. The nose band is adjustable and the pole piece has 3 holes on each side and room to punch more holes to make it smaller or larger if needed.

So glad to find a breakaway for a mini! And looks cute too. Fairly cheap breakaway strap but it's working out fine and hopefully never is needed. Of course training the horse to stand and give to pressure is the priority I think is too easily overlooked on these little guys. They deserve the same training as a big horse.
