It’s a decent leather halter but it’s large enough to fit on my adult mare. It’s definitely not sized for a yearling.

I think it has wire in throat latch. I won’t use it on my horse. Very disappointed. I took too long to figure it out. I think it is potentially very dangerous.

I didn’t realize the product did up over the head. I’m just not a fan of that style of halter… Also the piece on the back side of the nose is the exact same piece as on the sides… It looks like they were missed made and then just sold anyways

Love the size, love the quality, love it overall. My 15.3h quarterhorse fits in it nicely, the nose band was slightly too big, but that was an easy fix

I purchased this less than 2 months ago and today my horse slightly balked at getting in the trailer and the lower metal pieces shattered. Under the chin and across the cheek. Mind you, he barely pulled back, didn’t even make my arms yank. Not happy at all and the window for me to return is closed. So, I had to go out and purchase a nylon halter in a pinch and cannot return, exchange or get a refund of this one. Not happy!!The leather quality seemed very nice and I sort of questioned the bucklesFrom the get go. Just be weary of this halter.

Disappointed the hardware on noseband is not large enough for chain to pass through. Ever have a yearling that never needed a chain in so,e situation? Too bad I turned horse out in it or I would return.

When this first came I was a little disappointed. The leather was stiff and seemed like it was coated with plastic. But decided I would give it a shot since it was a good price. After a couple uses on a sweaty horse it loosened up and now I am pretty pleased with it. Thinking about getting a couple more.
