This train was a hit with a train loving 3 year old. It made steam train sounds and has actual steam!!! It moves forward and backwards. It takes a few seconds to turn on and off, so be patient with that on button, need to keep your finger on it for five seconds or so. Otherwise, best little steam train that moves!!!

I have bought two thinking the first was just a fluke but no they were both garbage. They both quit working after playing with them for less than an hour. When he came back to play with them the following week they would not even turn on-I checked before putting them away they were turned off. Very disappointing!

My son loved it initially but it stopped working.

This train set is sturdy and fun. Got this for my three year-old, as she only had the non-battery type of brio train. It was a huge hit! My one year old was able to handle it without breakage, and even learn to use the Buttons to make it stop and go.

This is such a great little electric battery run train. It is completely compatible with all of our wooden train tracks. We love the look and quality of this fun little train set. If you love trains like we do then this is a perfect battery train option.

We never do reviews. Seriously. But this thing absolutely made Christmas! For the value this is the train to do! It stays on our Melissa and Doug train perfectly and the batteries have lasted a while! Will say the steam button doesn’t always work when pressed but it’s successful enough that it doesn’t overshadow the experience. We even added another train from our other set and it worked great pulling. Rarely falls off the tracks set that we use. Great quality for the money!

It's neat. Cool trains just very slow. Otherwise it's cute. The coal part doesn't really shake like it says. ... but. Looks cool anyway.

I was excited to get this battery powered train for my grand-nephew. We let it go on the track. Our track had hills and bridges build into the track. The little train engine had difficulty going up the hills and bridges pulling one light weight train car. It needed assistance to go up the hill with two or more train cars. In fact, if I attached a wooden train car if any kind, it needed assistance to go up the hills and bridges. It was still fun to play with and my grand-nephew seemed to enjoy himself as he played with the battery powered train.I must say that i was a little disappointed that it couldn’t pull more train cars up the hills and bridges. I imagine if you have a flat track, then it would do just fine.
