Upgraded my wifi network with these. I currently use two of these throughout the house and one more in the garage. They are moderately priced and performance is great. My APs are in the ceiling/floor so they have to penetrate the plywood, carpet, drywall etc. depending on where I am. Even through that I pull about 800mbps with my phone and computer (wifi 6E). If I get closer I can get 950 mbps. When I actually have some wifi 7 devices I'm sure it'll just get better.

initial setup is hard for the Omada controller I have to set it as standalone then use the IP of my PC as the controller in my mobile device before it can be seen and "Adopted" anyway pretty good so far. it doesn't support DNS over TLS with a URL. DoT is asking for 2 set of DNS IPs which shouldn't be this way. TPLink should do improvements regarding DoT. what i got was V1.0 btw don't know the difference between V1.60, V2 and V2.60 TPLink should have made it clear as well.

First off, the setup was a breeze. I’ve used plenty of devices over the years, and this was one of the easiest to get configured to my liking. If you choose, you can use the Omada app as it walks you through step by step, but even without it, it’s simple to get things going if you know what you’re doing. I had it up and running in no time, and the app lets me fine-tune the settings with ease while i was playing with it.Once it was installed, the signal quality was where this thing really impressed me. It blankets my entire house, including upstairs and even into the backyard, with no dead spots. The 6GHz band is a game-changer for modern devices, and even when I’m running multiple streams from my Plex server at 4k, and doing work over remote desktop, everything stays fast and stable. The tri-band really helps with separating traffic so nothing gets bogged down.I also really appreciate the PoE functionality. It made placing the access point in the perfect spot much easier since I didn’t have to worry about finding an outlet nearby. With PoE, I could focus on getting the best coverage without running power cables all over the place. For anyone who’s got a decent-sized home and needs top-tier performance without fuss, this access point delivers. It’s not often I find gear that works this well straight out of the box, but the Omada EAP772 paired with my ER605 router definitely does.

I really wanted to like this AP but it reboots and rejoins the controller about ever hour. And this thing gets hot! So hot in fact that you can't hold it with your bare hands. The Omada controller will re-adopt it after the reboot but it's unusable for me this way. Not sure if the heat and reboots are related. I've got the full tp-link ecosystem; Omada controller, Gateway, PoE+ managed switch and two EAP610 AP's.Now while it's connected it does get close to 1G so that's good.

I had high hopes for this as I upgrade my home network. I previously used ubiquiti gear but thought I'd try the TP-Link Wifi 7 access point. It works most of the time, but I've found more than once the connection is active but all traffic just randomly stops. It's a bit annoying but I'm way past the date to return. firmware at the highest it can go which is unfortunate.

AP is simple to configure without any kind of issues. Good range for all the bands where other WiFi 7 routers I tried couldn’t provide. Powered using TP-Link 2.5G Poe+ adapter. AP gets hot compared to EAP610 that I used earlier. I’m not sure it’s the hardware fault or default behavior of this device. TP-link website has HW Ver 2.6 but seller has sent V1.6 I’m not sure heating problem is due to old revision!

I previously had EAP610 and was only getting 60% of my link speed. Upgrading to the 772 is instantly better, giving me 100% of my link speed. The 6GHz band is a big plus for reducing interference on other bands.
