4 stars for quality. 1 star loss for lock. It is already jamming after 2 weeks and I might need to replace. I also noted the entire concept and engineering has a flaw. People can still walk up and turn the spigot on and no one has a perfect system that doesn't cause dripping and pressure on the whole device, which makes it leak itself. This results in water loss and a cover is FAR more noticeable when messed with. This is hard to see and in the end does not protect against water loss.

This is a great product, IMO.Water is very expensive in our area. It becomes more expensive when someone uses your outside water to help build their new home. They use it and then leave the facet on!I’ve installed these TRADESAFE facet locks. They are well made - good metal, not the plastic some are made of. They seem strong and actually look good as well. I’m impressed and looking forward to lower water bills.

I had tried another product before this one and it didn’t do the job, but what I like about this was I could put it on the end of the hose to stop my kids from running the water everywhere. The only problem will be when it rusts but I can always easily replace the hose rather than the spigot.
