Works well but I wish it would reel the line side to side to spool it evenly. Also need clear instructions on installing the emergency handle and tight I G the clutch.

I INSTALLED THIS ON MY BOAT TRAILER TO RECOVER MY LOWE 165S SEA NYMPH BOAT AND IT DOES IT WITH SOME DIFFICULTY BUT MY BATTERY IS NOT HOOKED DIRECT TO MY VEHICLE AND I AM SURE IF IT WERE THE LAST FEW INCHES WOULD BE EASIER ON THE WINCH. A COUPLE DESIGN FLAWS IE NO SWITCH ON THE WINCH ITSELF BUT THAT WOULD BE JUST A NICE TO HAVE OPTION AND THE OTHER THING I SEE IS THE COVER FOR THE WINCH AND POWER NEEDS SOME WAY TO BE ATTACHED TO THE MAIN WINCH AT ALL TIMES. I AM AN OLD FK SO OFTEN FORGET WHERE I PUT THINGS LOL. AGAIN ANOTHER NICE TO HAVE ITEM. THE WINCH EASILY LOADED MY 16.5FT OAT FULL LOADED WITH ALL MY GEAR. DELIVERY WAS THE NEXT DAY SO CANT GET MUCH FASTER THAN THAT. IT SURE GOT THE ATTENTION OF ALL THE OTHER GUY AT THE BOAT LAUNCH AND THEY ARE VERY CURIOUS ON HOW LONG IT WILL LAST. (AS AM I FOR THAT MATTER).

It sure would be great to see a way better controller, it's very cheaply built and i can see it will not last, as well the reallyes are a very poor quality, again I don't think that they will last, and last but not least it would be nice to see syntactic rope rather steal cable.

It works great. I use it to trailer my 16 foot nitro bass boat and it works great. It is a little slow but beats hand cranking. One time to see how well it works I Loaded the boat two thirds on the trailer and pulled it out of water and loaded the boat rear of the way with the winch. Pulled the boat right on the trailer. Very pleased with the purchase.

Purchased this winch for my 16 1/2 foot Lund. The first time I used this it stopped with the boat about 2 feet from the bow block. I used the hand crank to finish pulling the boat the last 2 feet. I contacted customer service and explained the problem and sent them a couple pictures. They were very understanding and mailed me another winch that I received in a couple days. This one works great, no problems and makes the boat easy to load when I'm fishing alone.

This winch arrived in the beginning of April 2019, I stalled on July 20th, 1st use on Aug. 4th then on Aug. 11th...broke on the 2nd use, no phone contact..only email option or Skype or Facebook, I don't do Facebook or skype...will use the email, but not very hopeful on any positive results, like a replacement or refund my $$$ at this point, would no recommend this item to anyone

I have 3 fixed mounted winches on various UTV. The problem is when you need a winch it always seems to be mounted at the other end of the vehicle. I have a Ford F150 Raptor and it's just to pretty to take into really rough stuff. I used the UTV's for that, but even still I have been stuck in mud twice with my Raptor and "high centered" on a stump. All 4 wheels were off the ground. I had to walk home and go back the next day with 2 floor jacks, Take the weight off the stump, crawl under the truck and cut 1/2" off the stump with a chain saw. I believe just a little pul with this Megaflint winch would have solved my problems. The company seems very helpful and I would suggest throwing one in a tool box just for peace of mind.Steve Byrd
