Crown sits much too high on head, even when fully pulled down. I purchased XXL for my 59cm circumference head (per instructions). Fit was too lose. Front “flap” came folded over and was badly (permanently) creased. The main panels of the hat were indeed quality leather, but the flaps are flimsy and much too lightweight to offer good insulation. Bad fit and cheesy construction… $33 for this…? No way…Returned.

Glad that I bought XXL. I cannot attest to the materials used. Tag says 100% Sheepskin with " Insaid " of 100% Polyester. I'm of the opinion that it's lined with a synthetic microfiber. Construction is good. Flaps are of leather matching the crown. That would have been an opportunity for taking shortcuts. Fur is not identifiable, but has a sparkle of synthetic, it is of a consistent dyed color and nap. A nice cap.

I have a wide forehead so the hat fits a snug but it is warm. The reason for the 3 stars is that there isn't a hair of fur anywhere on this hat. I've included the manufacture's label sewn into the hat and you can see that it clearly states that the inside is 100% Polyester which is clearly a misrepresentation of the product. I'm assuming this is why this hat is significantly less expensive than the other trapper hats on Amazon that claim to have sheepskin. I was going to send it back but then again it is much cheaper than the other hats and it is warm (which is the main thing you want in this kind of hat) and does appears to be well made.

I use it while riding in cold weather on my Razor. X large is a bit big, as I have a large head, but still going to keep it. I really like the warmth and style it affords. Good purchase.

This hat can't be beat for staying warm outside when it's COLD out there. Fits well, not too loose or snug. Covers the back of your neck nicely too.

It’s a nice enough and well-made hat but as others have commented, it runs very small.

It is a very nice product. The outer shell is thin leather (about as thin as regular leather coats so not too thin) and I think the lining is sheep skin. The label in the hat didn't really say. It had an unusual mild chemical (?) smell. It is made in China.
