As someone who has installed more patch panels than he can remember in his career, I have seen and used them all. This product is a decent patch panel, especially at the price. I've used much more expensive panels that didn't come close to the quality or ease of use of this one. If you need a 1U 24-port patch panel, you could do far worse than choosing this one.

When I do networking I always choose this brand. Good quality, reliable, easy to use and warranty is perfect. Don’t get me wrong, there is also other good brands. But this one for the price just do an excellent work.

This worked really well for tidying up my network closet. I had a few little plastic punch down tools from some Leviton CAT5E connectors and it worked fine, once punched down properly I took flush cutters to trim the excess. Of course a good punch down tool that cuts the excess wire at the same time is better and easier on your hands if not your wallet.

Purchased this to replace a cheaper (but more expensive) patch panel. I was confused at first about the wiring layout on the back (used to one port being on top or bottom). Easy to figure out once I saw how it was set up and easy to push wires into slanted pins. Included wire clips to channel the wiring which was helpful. Good quality and looks to be working perfectly.

I used the Krone point on a TrendNet punch down tool on this 24 port patch panel. The front is flat which facilitates a good punch from behind (insert joke here). I initially inserted the plastic cable holders but found out the zip-ties would hold much better. The plastic holders were a pain to remove, but a small sharp curved pick and some leverage did the trick. A few of the points required a second soft push with the tool, but overall I was very satisfied with how easy, consistent, and secure the connections were. The printed color codes could line up a bit better with the points but not hard at all to figure them out. I found 1.25-1.5 inch of stripped jacket (see picture) was the perfect amount to easily be able to set the wires with your fingers. Would recommend.

pleasantly surprised by the good value for dollar. Was expanding my home network and needed to do this up better than previous wiring.this was a perfect solution and is easy to work with, seems well built.Has a good wire management system to secure wiring in place. I am using with a hinged wall rack mount, and is very secure. Now entire patch area is neat and well organized - easy for any future changes or troubleshooting.

This is a lower price unit so do not expect all of the nice mounts and labels, but work well.

24 Port Cat5This is a great patch panel. Don't be put off by the Krone blocks, it works perfectly well with a 110 punch, and TrendNet verifies this. The Krone blocks are actually rated for much higher freq than 110, though the angled connectors look odd.The layout is also a bit different as two pair land on top and two pair land on the bottom, This is also superior as there is a lot less unbundled wire if done properly. If you do a lot of patch panels it will take you a few minutes to get used to this, but once you've adjusted you can zip right along. This is the first one I've used, but won't be the last. The 24 port Cat 5, DID come with wire mngt clips and tie wraps.Patch panels typically DO NOT come with brackets or mounts, Trendnet and or Amazon should change the listing and drop the wall mount part of the description.Make sure you check the dimensions, if you are ordering something smaller than a 24 or 48 port. Some of the other sizes come in a 10" version, and a 10" rack is almost unknown in the USA.

I've been studying networking and network security in school but had never actually punched down a patch panel. My parents needed one for their house with tons of wires, so I got this one to practice on. It works great. The only thing that I had trouble with was the coloring on the back - I simply didn't read the diagram closely when I should have. There were two strips of colors (568A and 568B) one on the left and one on the right. While I knew of 568A/B, I didn't make the connection that was what the two diagrams were for - I thought one was for the left jacks and the other was for the right jacks. A dumb moment. Half were punched down A and the other half B.Later after figuring out my problem, I just repatched the wrong ones. It wasn't that bad. This unit is still worth 5 stars. The diagrams actually say which is A and which is B if you read them. It looks fine, has numbers / can be labeled as well, and all ports work without issues.
