Could not get the bottom bearing cap to go over the tapering shaft. I got the forks together but the bottom bearing doesn't have a cap and doesn't spin freely without the cap. I thought about hammering it down but that won't let it spin on the bearing so whats the point

The shaft or bolt that is in the center is not straight or square in reference to the mount it is welded into. I wanted to get my bike assembled this weekend so I tried to get it out to reset and weld it but could not. Am sure it is not returnable after grinding on it. If that shaft was correctly installed the overall setup seems ok I suppose.

Longer than stock, stiffer than not. Feels good to me at 215lbs. I did have to order a longer front axle which isn't supplied at all which is understandable. The races went in nice and bearings adjusted up well. For a cheap set of forks I am impressed. You can find the longer axle on Amazon too. Comes with like 3 different size wheel spacer for opposite the drum side. Much needed 04 CRF50 upgrade. I'd buy them again.

The shocks didn't have mounting brackets for the brakes. I used the triple clamps and other parts and reuse my original shocks due the brake mounting brackets.

Missing hardware for the forks itself was exited to install untill this happened now have to go search for the correct hardware

If you're here considering a new front end dumping the old stock inverted piece of junk that came on the smaller pit bike, this is the right choice. With no reviews and not much info to go on I took a shot, now I'm smiling ear to ear.This front end allows you to keep stock Drum brakes and it has the exact same Fork Bolt pattern at: 150mm center to center. Two things I did have to do was buy a 195mm axle, amazon keyword search here: Minho 12mm 195mm Front Rear Axle with Bush 20mm 10mm 5mm Fit for PIT PRO Dirt.I used the 10mm & the 5mm Bushings that came with this axle, absolutely perfect.And I had to drill out the brake cable bracket with a 5/16" drill to accept and retain the stock brake cable.The trick is to clamp the bracket so it doesn't move around while drilling thru an interrupted cut on your drill press.But wow what a difference this Front End makes!I give this Front end 5 stars all day long.Cheers!
