It works fine. So far the clips haven't broken. That's the problem I've been having with other cables.

Good price for the length (per foot basis), and it has the added benefit of being made by a company founded by fellow Hams, which is known for its quality.

Wanted a top quality Cat5e cable because I was going over 20 ft. and Tripp Lite is always my go to. I have a gigabyte connection and after testing from a 5 ft cat5e connection to the new 100ft cable I only lost 13% in terms of upload/download.Connection has been solid with no interrupts.

Why do they always want detailed reviews on something like this? You plug it in and it works perfectly. What kind of MAD MAN goes on and on about a short cable? I got it! I hooked them up to my spectrum os silly scope and found only slight differences in the f=gamma at frequencies of ghosts, The feel v e r y silky and sensuous. Their color mirrors the distant morning sky and they smell of fresh plastic!

High-quality cable and molded plugs. Ideal for running Ethernet from a cable modem to a home theatre setup across the living room, with slack to spare.

When cabling up a networking rack, I always use weird coloured cables as a way to identify very important cables. This can be remote management ports, or out-of-band management. This cable definitely does the job. The boot is flexible and definitely can take some abuse. While I do prefer the covered boots that protect the plastic clip, this definitely met my needs. Speeds were able to reach 1 Gigabit per second, and there was no latency or dropped packets during my testing.

I needed a long cable for my laptop, one that wouldn't fall out as I move around a lot, shifting the machine. This cable doesn't let go, and isn't as easy to break as the ones without a cover over the clip. Easy to install and remove, I get the best of both worlds - quick and secure internet service and more maneuverability. I'm partially confined to bed, so you can imagine how many times I have to shift the machine. I went through several cables over a 2 month period until I found this one, and I love it! If you need a little extra strength in your cable, this is the one for you. The price is great, too.

I needed to temporarily run a RJ45 cable from my router to a PS3/Xbox in another room. While it's easy to find 25 or 50 foot cables the 30 footers are harder to find and I really needed that extra 5 feet and didn't want an extra 20 feet of cable coiled up behind my HDTV(enough wires back there already). I didn't want to run a black or bright blue cable along the wall(which are the colors the 30 foot cables usually come in) so this light gray was perfect for my decor so as to be almost invisible or at least not draw attention to itself. This cable feels strong and durable, yet was flexible enough for me to easily run it along the walls and anchor in place. It straightened itself out where I needed it straight and curved nicely around corners.I bought this cable "Sold and Fulfilled by Amazon". The following is what is printed on the cord:Tripp Lite -- Enhanced -- Cat5 -- UTP -- CM -- (UL) -- C(UL) -- CMG --350MHZ --25 AWG -- Cat5e -- 4PR -- Patch CableThe ends do not have boots over them but instead have 2 raised hard triangular plastic pieces on either side, just as pictured in the product description, that protect the tabs. The connectors snapped into place securely with a satisfying clicking noise on both my modem and PS3. Don't see them coming loose or falling out unless I remove them. Removing the connector was slightly more difficult as you must squeeze you finger between the two raised plastic pieces in order to press the tab. This isn't a problem for me, but if you plan to be switching your connection between different devices frequently and have large thumbs it's a bit more difficult. Not a deal breaker in any way, just something to be aware of.The difference I see between this design and the booted ones is that on some(not all) of the booted ones the tab seems extremely hard to depress when connecting/disconnecting but they are more of a true snagless design. These newer 'so called' snagless ones are much easier to connect/disconnect and protect the tabs well for normal use but would not be snagless if you had to run them through a wall(would need to wrap them with tape to do this). Of course I realize that this is really a matter of personal preference. I do use both types.I prefer to buy brand name cables and Tripp Lite has never let me down on other products I have purchased from them and has totally met my needs for on these cable for quality, durability and excellent connectivity.I almost didn't buy this cable because it didn't have any reviews as of the date of this post and it wasn't listed with all the other Tripp Lite patch cables(still unsure why) but it is the real deal, works great, and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a 30 foot Cat5E/Cat5 patch cable. Other Tripp Lite RJ45's can be found here .

I am using this cable to get a signal from my wireless router to mynon wireless Blu-Ray player in the living room. This allows me tostream Netflix there. This cable is fairly thin, it does not kink easily and has sturdy connectors.I have seen no signal drop at all when using this cable.
