This is the 2nd Tuff Pepper leash, different color but otherwise identical, purchased for training our Berner puppy, a natural chewer that can't resist destroying nearly everything she possibly can. While it's not entirely chewed through, I just don't trust that 1 good tug will be all it takes to make the length ever so much shorter than I need it to be.What I love most about this particular product is that it resists knotting, something a similarly long flat version leash is prone to do. (Why spend time inside untying knots when you can be spending time outside working on commands?) What I also love is the quality, strength, and handle on the opposite end, something that's both comfortable and ergonomically delightful. I highly recommend. Now, as for convincing my not so little girl to stop chewing on everything left within reach...someday? Maybe?

Returned this item. Was too heavy for my 11 lb mini dachshund.

Nice leash my dog doesn't mind the way it feels and I like that she can explore without me having to get into the taller grass.

This is a very well made product but the user should be careful. There is a dog clip on both ends, and if you’re not holding the handle end closely, if your dog flies like mine does, the end can jump and hit you in the face. This is made of climbing rope, so it stretches and bounces back. That is nice for the dog that takes off like a bat outta hell and doesn’t want to stop. Ask any Border Collie about slowing down and you will understand. This lead is long enough to give your dog independence to explore while keeping them in your control.I’ve used this lead a lot since getting it, and my reason for the 4 stars only is that it tangles around my dog’s legs fairly frequently. He is really quick and strong for a fairly small dog, and ridiculously acrobatic. He has tripped and fallen because of suddenly hog tying himself with this lead.I would never, ever use this as an unsupervised tie out line. It could be chewed through in minutes.

This has really saved me when it comes to potty time. Moving from a house with a huge yard to an apartment with virtually no yard and no way to prevent my girl from running into the street has been a bit of a challenge because she loves to chase squirrels. I want to allow her the freedom to walk around without feeling like I’m right up on her but still have the security of being on a leash especially since she is so friendly and wants to greet every person she sees. I love that I can wrap this around my waist and be handsfree, while being reassured that she can only get so far away before she’s stopped.

I recently bought this 30-foot leash, and it’s been perfect for recall training. It’s lightweight, durable, and easy to manage, giving my dog plenty of freedom to explore while still keeping control.Great for taking your dog hiking or long walks. I highly recommend it.
