Great quality, but too big for my tiny dog.

I've been using this for months at my job working with dogs. We use slip leads for ease of handling unfamiliar dogs, and the loop gets big enough to leash up even pretty large dogs over 100lbs. I can't use it for dogs wearing any kind of surgical cone, unfortunately though. The traffic handle helps me handle stronger pullers despite not being a very large person. Both the leather-type material and the nylon is soft on my hands and I haven't had any issues with blisters or rope burn. I've put it through a commercial dishwasher several times and it hasn't shown any signs of wear, and otherwise I just use a damp cloth to wipe off any dirt. The rubber stopper is a nice touch vs those with leather stoppers, and it hasn't gotten loose at all and stays in place well.

I have a young 80lb lab that loves to pull. We are trying to curb that with a slip on leash and it's working well. However, most slip leads have a round rope handle that just slips through you hand and after a bit they hurt. We also wanted something with a shorter leash lead as well as longer. This item is so perfect and comfortable. It have been amazing for my big girl and my hand appreciates it. 💕

I am actually surprised with how good of a quality these are. The pictures make them look flimsy and cheap. They are anything but that. Very nice feel to them, love the padded handles. Love the extra handle closer to the dog to shorten the length. Only thing I don't like about them is the rubber piece to keep them closed. It's a pain in the butt to get up and down. Definitely worth the money though.

I have a 1 1/2 year old pomsky (pomeranian husky) who is 35lbs. and who def likes to pull on his walks… It has gotten a lil bit better now that he’s a bit older and not a baby anymore, but it still definitely happens. He does check in when he needs to, and he does sit when told, but I wanted to get him to the point where he is ALWAYS walking next to me and always checking in to make sure he’s doing the correct thing. But he gets too distracted and wants to smell everything he can, or play with every dog who comes into the vicinity, which also makes him lose all focus and become completely distracted. We went to a loose-leash walking class, and was told that the trainer wouldn’t be able to train the dogs as good as he does if he didn’t have a slip lead. After constant fighting with myself going back and forth on whether I should get it, I finally gave it and thought what could I loose?Couple of things on the pro side:The leash itself is AMAZING! It’s made perfectly and STRONG!! I love how thick it is and I love that it actually feels like it has CONTROL of my dog no matter how hard he pulls. I kind of feel like with his original rope leash, after all the pulling and yanking, has in some way stretched it out…? May not even be a thing, but this leash just felt perfect. I also LOVED the traffic lead as this is an ABSOLUTE MUST with my distracted easily unfocused dog who wants to smell and play with EVERY SINGLE DOG who walks by!!However (now for the negative):Slip leads are not a good leash if your dog has a narrow-ish face. Which my pomsky DEFINITELY does, but only if it goes over and past his ears. His ears are very much straight up, like a husky’s, and that helps keep the slip lead from fully coming over his face should he ever try to back out of the leash. However, his face and nose are very much narrow, like a Pomeranian, so if he does get the leash past his ears, he will most likely dart out of that leash so fast I would not even notice it at first haha.So slip leads are just overall not a good leash for my dog and at this time. I would only use this leash if your dog has amazing recall, JUST IN CASE the lil escape artist is able to get out of the slip leash.I like that it came with a stopper, but again we were so nervous he would try to get out of the leash that where we felt comfortable putting the stopper did not leave enough room, in my opinion to really make the connection to him that if he pulls, it’s going to tighten, and if he listens, it’ll loosen. He’s toooo smart for his own good, but non-obvious que’s like this would not allow him to catch on to the concept very well.Again, this leash is AMAZING AND STRONG!!! The traffic lead is an add-on that for me is a MUST! The leash feels amazing in my hand, is not too big, and feels expensive for the price!!! But the lower price is another amazing thing for this leash because like I said, it feels, looks, and works amazingly (if your dog can’t pull out of them as easy as mine can, and if your dog has great recall in case they DO pull out of it!) Also, the vibrant royal blue color we got was SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! It looked perfect against my pomsky’s tri-color coat of blonde, browns, and blacks. So if you use slip leads, and need an affordable brand, BY ALL MEANS GET THIS ONE!!!!

Needs a swivel connection between the rope and handle. As we walk and twist, active pup, twists up leash and does not hang correctly.Stays up close on the neck in use. Ok.Pleather on one side and woven on other, would be more flexible with out the pleather.Padding is soft enough now but concerned with long term. Overall good enough but needs the swivel.

I have purchased quite a few slip leads. I have adopted and fostered a few pups and they almost always have leash pulling problems and need general training. This slip lead is so far the best I've owned in every way.QUALITY/FEATURES:Primary Handle - The primary handle padding and quality is great and not often found in a slip lead.Secondary Handle - The secondary handle is also extremely difficult to find on slip leads and surprisingly makes correcting and walking a leash pulling/reactive dog much easier than a traditional slip lead. The dogs I've used it on are far more responsive to this than others I've used and this secondary handle seems to be the primary reason. That and the secondary handle is very nice to have when ensuring your pup stays by your side.Slip lead and joints - The quality of the slip lead portion itself and the connecting joints is very good. I've had others that I worried could be chewed through, have slip off, or have the threading or joint attachments break. This one is very sturdy and well built. The slip lead stopper is also very good rubberized material that feels like it will last a long time.Would highly recommend this leash for any dog that's in training, has leash pulling problems, aggression problems, or as a general walking leash. I've found that dogs can often be night and day when switching to a slip lead, and this is one of the best in my opinion.

I purchased the “mint green” colour for an 8 week old Great Dane pup, and the colour and quality is fantastic! Nothing feels or looks cheap! The quality is so durable I’m about to purchase a pink, purple, and blue for my 3 adult Danes! I love the double handle, if you ever need a close grip to your dog! Would absolutely recommend! 5 ⭐️
