I've only used this for one tire so far but using it is SO much easier that wrestling with the tire on the ground with a couple of small tire irons. I should have bought one sooner.

its not the sellers falt. the box got damaged during shipping , big hole in the side . so the first thing you lose is all the hardware. its only 4 bolts, 4 nuts and 4 washers but I cant assemble it untill I get to the hardware store. looks good otherwise. Up date 9/9/24 . Used it today, works fantastic right out of the box. no mods needed. The only thing is it will damage alumanum wheels . so I will do something about that.I see no reason to spend 75$ for the duck bill mod , didnt need anthing to hold the side wall down. I mounted 2 -205/60/16, took 10 min. each , and im 69 with a bad back. so if I can do it, anyone can.

First time using it on a lawnmower tire it worked fine. Second time using it on some ATV tires that the wheel has a wide lip under the bead, while breaking the bead it bent one of the pins that holds the bead breaker together and bent the bottom part of the frame, broke one of the chineseium bolts holding the bottom part of the frame together. Then while tightening the top hold down the threads in the top broke loose and got stuck in the hold down upper section. The threads are held in by 2 tiny spot welds. Finally fished the female thread section out of the upper hold down, drilled 4 holes through the tube, reinserted the threaded part and welded it in with rosette welds. Replace the junk bolts and pins and was able to finish the ATV tires. The thing works, just be prepared to replace pins, bolts and even weld it back together. Also make sure you use very strong concrete anchors to hold it down. You put a huge amount of force pulling up on at least one side while breaking the bead. It's not just side force while taking the tire off or putting it on. Now that it's fixed I'm guessing it should last quite a while.

I have used the Tuffiom Manual tire changer for replacing boat trailer and truck tires. There is a slight learning curve on using the tire changer, but there are many videos on the net to help you out. I would not recommend this tire changer for low profile tires 50 series and below. these types of tires need to be changed by machine. overall good quality tire changer for the home DIY.

It's just the way it's built.... buuuuut... I LOVE IT!!!There's no instructions on HOW to use it, but when you figure it out, simple as [redacted].Even without a solid base this thing is beautiful. I'd wish I had this decades ago.

It may work on 8” to 16” tires, but it will not fit the most common Japanese lug pattern of 4x100 due to the pin that keeps tire from spinning not able to move in far enough to accept those wheels. The description needs to warn people with smaller lug spacing wheels that it won’t work for them. The inner edge of the “u” Channel (welded under the round plate tire rests on) that the locking pin slides in blocks the pin from moving inward to edge of the slot cut in the round plate by about 1/3 of an inch, so pin jams up against the center post on my 4x100 pattern wheels and wheel can’t be centered. Bought to mount my track car tires several times a year, How can this product get the stars it has when it can’t possibly work for huge portion of wheels out there and no notice in the description?
