I have seen these being used at car and motorcycle shows overseas but never here in Australia until now and I love the way they are pack in their own container

I don’t have a spare tire on my car so I carry a portable compressor. I don’t like the fix a flat that comes with the car so I thought I would try these. I saw videos on them and I was curious. So I’ll give it 4 stars for now on the idea of it.

Had a screw in my motorcycle tire. I was using rope plugs, but my tire would spit out the plug every 10 miles or so. Of course, I got my flat about 40 miles from the house - so it took about 4 plugs and 2 hours to make it home.I bought these screw plugs and when they arrived screwed one of the large size into the tire. It was easy to do - but feels weird turning a screw into the tire... The little screw plug held tire pressure overnight. I was able to drive the 30 minutes to tire shop with no problems.I will be keeping these with me instead of rope plugs.

My tire picked up a nail about 1/8" in diameter - the body of the nail actually sealed the hole pretty well and I only had to air up the tire every couple weeks, but it was still a little annoying. I picked up these screw plugs as they seemed easier to use than a traditional string plug, although I was a little skeptical that they'd work as well. I pushed the body of the nail into the tire, then screwed one of these in - it seemed like it still leaked a little overnight, so I sized up to a larger plug the next morning. The install, uninstall and reinstall were all very easy and I was pleased to see zero air leakage after several weeks of being in the tire. Each of these kits comes with individually packaged plugs, so they're easy to separate out into your emergency roadside kit if you have multiple cars that you're taking care of.

I thought this was a great idea. Repair that is quick and easy and only requires a screwdriver. However, I had a very small leak. I used the small plug and when tested with soap solution it was still leaking. I removed the first plug. Cleaned up the hole with a very small drill bit and inserted a larger plug and Retested with soap solution. Still had a slow leak. Removed the second plug and went with an old fashioned cord style plug like I have been using for the last 50 years. Problem solved. These are junk.

I picked up a nail on the rear tire of my BMW 1200GS. When I pulled it out it looked like a pop rivet which gave me a slow leak. I was on a long trip and remembered I had purchases these tire repair screws months earlier.I had my pliers, Philips screwdriver, portable air inflator, and one of these screws ready (I used a large one). I pulled the nail out and a lot of air escaped. I screwed in the repair screw and let it sit for about an hour. Then I rode home about 1200 miles mostly on interstate at 75-80 mph and the repair screw held well with no leakage. One thing to mention is when I hooked up my air inflator it showed the tire was about 13 lbs and quite soft. The screw went right into the hole with no problem. But as you may know, if I had used one of those 'gummy worm' type tire repair kits it would have been a problem. With a soft tire you really can't ream the hole out and then push in the gummy worm rubber insert. You have to have some pressure in the tire to push against! With these screws it doesn't matter. Just remember they have glue on them so they need to sit and cure for a short time. With a kit of 20 of these screws I have put a pair (large and small) in each of our cars and given many away to friends. I actually purchased another kit of 40 screws so I can give more away. They are quite cheap and proven effective.

Perfect for those smaller nail/screw punctures in the grooves that happen every once in a while. Genius idea to have it precoated in rubber cement. Took 10 seconds and almost zero effort once I got the screw out. Perfect seal and having 2 sizes makes this a great value for many potential punctures. Why wait 2 hours for a tow truck or bother putting on your spare tire? Just have an air pump, a screwdriver, a pair of pliers, and this handy and it will take care of 75% of nail/screw-in-tread scenarios in less than 5 mins with no car jacking or lifting/unbolting/bolting wheels, or messing with the goopy tire-in-a-can stuff that has to be cleaned out and can ruin your wheel balance.

lol, It leaked out in minutes after patching, I straightened the nailand put it back in with tire patch glue, it held perfectly, until I couldget the tire properly repaired. Apparently when nails or screwsenter the tire at high speeds (maybe slower speeds as well, :shrugs:),they don't enter perfectly perpendicular, the come in on anangle, making the entrance 'wound' oblong and irregular.I think this product might work for certain types of punctures.
