I bought this to replace the 12ax7 that came in a tc electronic tube pilot, which didn’t just sound awful but was also way too loud. Somehow this guy, the au7, while sounding just as garbage was actually even louder. Two bum tubes isn’t that much less likely than a pedal from a legit brand sucking so incredibly hard, but I would positively not expect either so I dunno what to say. Buy at your own peril

I used this bad boy on a Bottlehead Crack 1.1 tube amp and its amazing . Compared to stock tube this one sounds more wide, warm and tube like sound .

Great upgrade from the 12 AT in my reverb circuit, better tone now I can use the knob more befoer 2-3 max now 3-6 sounds good

This is the second one of these that I've bought. I bought the first one to replace the one that came with my amplifier unit, and it finally gave out. (after 3 years of regular use) The warmth of sound is the main reason that I bought another.It's a quality product, I won't hesitate to buy it again if necessary.
