Upfront disclosure: I received this item through the Amazon Vine program for review.I love my collection of vinyl records and I want them to play perfectly and to have the sound come through my vintage Pioneer 700G speakers with perfect clarity. The problem with vinyl is the sensitivity to calibration on the record player. Having a good cartridge, good smooth drive, and proper amplification is part of it, but the calibration is where it all comes together to play well or not. You can do the calibration by feel, trial, and error but that isn't ideal. This kit gives you everything you need to get the cartridge aligned and everything in proper balance so that it plays and tracks perfectly without causing unnecessary wear to the vinyl or the cartridge. This is one of those tool kits you will only use every so often but if you are serious about your vinyl, you need to get everything as close to perfect as possible. Highly recommend this kit!
