This shelf, although made for a speaker, is just the right size for a porcelain piece that I wanted to display. It was easy to install and shows off the cascade of “water” coming out of the kettle that is made to look like a duck.

And maybe I shouldn’t have set my hopes so high. It is plastic, after all. My bed is very tall and my bedside table is not. I like to have my iPad plugged in at night while I read, but the cord with the big block is always in my way. I wanted something to hold that block, and with the slot in the back of this mini shelf, I thought it would be ideal. Sadly, and I didn’t think about this as I was putting it up, the iPad cord is simply too thick to add through the slot after the fact. No matter, there is always a work around. Unfortunately, less than a week after I put it up next to my bed, the crease cracked and broke. Now I have to plaster the holes in my wall and find something else. I ordered several different of these because my hubby thought they would be useful for directional security cameras. He hasn’t put them up yet, but I hope they work better for him than they did for me. Back to the old drawing board!

I felt it was too small for the Verizon router. I was still going to install it and it broke when I put a little bit pressure trying to straighten it as I was screwing.
