This was a good product. We returned it because it wouldn't fit in the box. We ended up buying a whole new fuse box.

When our dryer breaker on our stab lok panel gave out, we found out that the stab lok ones are no longer being made. We were faced with an estimate of over $1500 to replace our entire panel just for this one lousy breaker. Then after a ton of googling we found out that these Federal Pacific breakers were designed to replace the stab lok ones!It was a very tight fit but it fit! The casing itself is just a little bit wider than the old one so we had to knock out the covering for the empty breaker slot above it so the cover could go back on but then it fit fine.Overall we are very happy with this breaker so far! It does what it says it does!

Breaker fit my old FPE panel. Had to align the prongs a little to get it to start, but snapped in and works fine powering my electric dryer circuit.

Breaker very used on arrival - sticker had printing almost worn off. When used in a panel snapin was weak and only one pole worked, could not get 240V out of it. -an electrician who orders breakers online regularly and has not had any issues until now

I was very pleased with this equivilient snap-lok breaker to replace for the Federal Pacific. New was around $60 and I saw the used option. I was relunctant but nope, I am glad I chose the used. the Price was half the amount. It was a perfect fit but do measure the width of bad breaker And match it up exactly. I live in the Anarctica of NYS and I had no hot water, plus old breaker was not the correct amps. I was relieved to have the right size breaker in. Breaker failed due to a slight leak around element and water hitting the wiring on thermostat. Plus the hot water tank used to be a 3500 watt and when I installed the new 5500 watt elements type water heater, I was misinformed regarding right size breaker. According to my wirring and element wattage I needed the 30 amp 120240 instead of the 25 amps. I dried everything up and tightened up the two elements and replaced the breaker. No more flipping breaker and all is well.

Fits just like it should. Nice that it is slim as it extends the life of the breaker panel.

Warning: The "Thin Series" breakers do not fit some FPE panels. In the FPE panels, 2 pole (240v) breakers can only be installed in the spaces which span between the buss sections for each phase (unlike modern panels, the busses are not configured such that the phases or legs are different on all adjacent spaces). If the breaker is installed in any other space on the panel, the two poles will be on the same phase/leg and you will have 0 volts on the circuit. For my panel, the contacts of the "Thin Series" breaker were too close together to be installed in the correct space on the panel. I ordered a "Thick Series" and it worked perfectly.I didn't consider this a defect, so I rated the item 5 stars. The Connecticut Electric breakers are a quality product. You just need to make sure to get the correct type for your panel. If you have any doubt, just order a thick series and save yourself some potential grief.
