It features durable black and blue plastic construction designed for marine environments. Each end cap and seal kit only includes one end cap and each cylinder requires an end cap on each side. A replacement is not included and if you wish to remove the end cap and seal, a spanner wrench is required.

I have a 2006 Verado 150 in a 18ft Whaler that I bought new that lives at my dock in salt water 24/7/365, ie year around in salt which is a tough environment. The original steering seals last until 2020 and started leaking. I installed these replacements in 2020 and they started leaking about 6 months ago. So OE lasted 14 years and these lasted 4 years under the same conditions. Is there a warranty replacement or is 4 years the maximum service life we can expect from your products?

Great product, fits exactly what it says. Did the job of stopping the leak where the old seals were failing. I wish it came with the plastic tool to protect the seals when installing but that's ok, just be careful.

It was a pain getting the old metal ones off, but managed with a pipe wrench and a block of wood (to slide under and support the cylinder). Easy to install, then bleed, no leaks!! These look like plastic, which is actually better. IF the inner seal ever fails again, these should be much easier to remove and replace.
