It all started when our founder noticed a major problem at the beach when a gust of wind suddenly launched an umbrella and injured a young girl. This sparked in our founder an interest to make the beach a safer place for everyone. Flyaway beach umbrellas are annoying, inconvenient, and, not to mention, potentially dangerous! Most of us have had this problem before and we know how it just ruins your day at the beach. That's why we have thought up a hassle-free solution to this problem. This portable beach umbrella base is the ideal solution to keep your beach umbrellas in place without any effort. Plus, it already comes with the tools you'll need to set it up seamlessly!

Step 1
Pick a place to set up your beach umbrella and brush away the top layer of fluffy sand with your foot. Next, bore a hole in the sand using the included Sand Gopher. Lay the ULTRA base on top, making sure the holes are aligned. Place the bottom of your umbrella pole through the opening in the center of the base and into the hole you just bored into the sand.
Step 2
Secure two sides of the Base onto the Anchor Collar. Leave one side of the Base unhooked and shovel in sand from the beach using the included Sand Scoop to add weight and stability. Use your foot to compact the sand in base and repeat until it's full of firm sand. Did you know that once filled, it weighs 120 lbs.? That's what helps keep your umbrella secure on the beach.
Step 3
Once the base is filled with compacted sand, secure the last side of the Base onto the Anchor Collar. After making sure that the pole is securely in place, sit back and enjoy your day at the beach! It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!

The box comes with all the accessories that you need. Seem to be quality materials build to last. We use it at a lake beach that has very compact sand, and this is the only solution that has worked for us. It's really hard to dig a hole. It's a well worth purchase.

We’re so happy with this beach umbrella base! We paired ours with our own umbrella and are so happy with its stability! It comes with a scoop to use to fill the space with sand and the everything you need. This is a reliable product and good value. 5 stars!

Tried it once so far. Works well, “got the rest” meaning I opted for their umbrella and the company owner immediately reached out to me and got it all handled. Great service. My old crappy beach umbrella canopy was flexing and flapping but the sand base kept it steady. Can’t wait to try it with the new beautiful and sturdy umbrella. The dark navy color is pretty. New umbrella came with a very nice, heavyweight canvas bag with carrying strap with room for the triangle base, sand coring scooper, accessories & little shovel. Great product.

This works really well. A day at the beach is no fun when you’re holding onto an umbrella that is trying to take off in the wind. It comes with all items needed to turn your existing umbrella into a solid, anchored sunshade. So the idea is to dig a small hole (I use an auger for my power drill), place the umbrella through the bag that is laid out flat with a hole in the middle, and then put it to a certain height (collar from the kit on your pole) and it hooks upward to the umbrella hooks on the collar, you fill the bag with sand and this thing is rock solid. To disassemble, simply unhook the bag from the hooks, dump the sand, and lift up the flat bag. Easy to use and adds safety to your umbrella so you won’t injure yourself or others from a flyaway umbrella.

This worked ok. I tried it today for the first time and here’s my thoughts. With loose sand, the tool for making the hole didn’t work. Every time I pulled it out loose sand would just fill the hole back up so I didn’t use it. I eventually got my umbrella in the ground as best as I could. After that, I found the process of filling the sand ok, but tiring in the hot sun cause it took a lot of sand to fill it up- thx god for the shovel. My umbrella did stay up for most of the time, although it did end up leaning to one side a bit in the wind, but it never fell over. Taking it down after the fact was pretty simple. I wish it came with a little bag with a clip to hold the shovel and the yellow mat so I could attach it to my backpack cooler. The one thing I find is that with the clip attached to my umbrella pole, my umbrella no longer fits in its bag so that’s a pain. Overall this works, I just wished the tool to dig the hole worked so that the pole would go deeper into the sand.Update 5/19/23 I bought the beach bag from this company and I am so happy I did. It fits my umbrella with the attachment, the shovel and the yellow mat easily with lots of room to spare.I have made several trips to the beach and although I have the kit, I didn’t use it. I honestly didn’t want to go through the hassle of setting it up (shoveling sand) in the hot sun. I didn’t find that part fun the last time I used the kit. I just decided to use my umbrella without the kit and it worked well.I do have regrets about buying it (not because it doesn’t work) but because I don’t see myself reaching for this as it’s a hassle shoveling sand in the hot sun to fill the base up. The beach bag from this company, which is pricey, is great. Good quality and spacious. I have yet to find another comparable beach bag. Everything I need for the beach fits in this 1 bag.

For years now we have tried a variety of beach umbrellas and anchor systems. Each has proved insufficient and terribly frustrating. Our family is avid beachgoers, but not sun-worshippers, so shade at the beach is critical to us.I initially just ordered just the base from Amazon, as I was unaware that there was a beach umbrella/base combination option as well. After using the base with my rather decrepit beach umbrella, and talking to the customer service department at BeachBub, who by the way, very patiently walked me through the initial assembly process while I was on a windy beach, I immediately ordered the umbrella as well. If you order the umbrella from the manufacturer directly, after you have purchased just the base from Amazon, they will sell you the umbrella by itself. They just deduct the cost of the base from the umbrella/base combination.This is the first beach umbrella and base system that not only holds up in heavy wind (the umbrella did not so much as flinch, while fellow beachgoers umbrellas were being blown about) but it is easy to assemble and can be done without any serious exertion or back-twisting efforts like the traditional screw anchors require. The umbrella and the base system are relatively lightweight and come in a sturdy, compact carrying bag with padded shoulder support. My 9-year old son was able to carry the tote bag by himself and help me install the umbrella and base with no issues. As a mom who is often at the beach alone with my kids, having a beach umbrella system which my school-age kids and I can easily carry, and assemble by ourselves is wonderful!I love the fact that the is a safe option as well. Until I bought this product, I was woefully unaware of the danger which screw-based umbrella systems posed at beaches. When the screw-based anchor systems works loose from the sand and blows down the beach, they can cause serious bodily harm to beachgoers.All in all, this has proved to be an excellent product from a U.S. based company (headquartered in and assembly done in Greensboro, NC) who provides superb customer service. I would recommend this base and umbrella to anyone.The founder of the of the company advised me that there are non-U.S. based knock-off products on the market who will use the BeachBub company trademark, so pay attention that you are in fact buying the original, U.S. patented product from manufacturer/seller: BeachBub.For what it’s worth, this the first product review I have ever written. I really believe in this product and was so impressed with the employees that I talked to at their headquarters, that I felt I owed it to them and to other customers like myself desperately looking for a beach umbrella solution to post my review.
