I have a large outdoor umbrella with a sand filled base but I live in a very high wind environment along mountain foothills. I'd used regular poly-encased sandbags in the past but UV breaks them down and they aren't very stable. This fully encased and linked solution solved all the problems in a clean and hopefully UV resistant package. There is an inner "zip-lock" bag that fits inside the robust outer case. Recommend fill the individual saddle bags with the inner bag already in place! I really found the handles useful and of course the ability to connect them together helps keep everything stable. Excellent product - very well designed!

Pros: Sandbags are made of strong and study material, easy to use and transport with the handles.Cons: The included interior plastic bags aren’t thick and easily tore while filling up with sand, so just used the outer sandbag without them (hence the four stars).

These sand bags are a well thought out design. Having the inner zip bags prevents the sand from slowly leaking out, reducing the weight and making a mess. I especially like the handles. The bags without handles are hard to keep a grasp on when moving. These have two handles on each bag giving you a good way to pick them up with both hands. Since they are buckled together it makes it easier to move by unbuckling them and being able to carry one at a time. When in place you can buckle them back together, which helps keep them from sliding off a surface that is not level like a sloped umbrella base. The construction is heavy duty and well done.

The size and the shape of these sand bags are excellent for helping secure my patio privacy screens. The materials are great quality too. The liners are sturdy. The body of the bag is well-sewn and the velcro properly placed. There is nothing wonky and nothing to nitpick. So far these exceed my expectations.

I actually use these for my hammock stand. I put a bunch of rocks in them and it keeps my hammock from flipping over when it’s windy outside.
