We used these to replace the old ones on our Dometic fridge. We were very happy to find a replacement that works!

These pieces are stronger than the originals &, work perfect for what they are meant for.

I’m so proud of myself for replacing these parts on my own. I probably could not have done it without the watching the instructional video provided in the QR code. The parts are high quality, and it was a very tight squeeze getting the door back on but the instructional pointers helped immensely.I used some scotch tape to hold the parts at the correct angle and used a very thin butter knife to guide the right side back on. To be honest it took several attempts and a lot of patience. Take the time to watch the whole video!Thank you ifixifi!

These were the only parts broken that made it so freezer door would not stay shut. These are better made than the original ones. There is a YouTube video on how to install. I used the spatula method.

These are indeed high quality parts even better than the original. I was about to buy a new fridge because of the broken freezer door on my 3-way Dometic fridge but I can get a few more years out of it now.

Update on this item.!!!After emailing the seller about my issue, they can’t help me,but have tried,so fair play.It seems that the reason I broke one of them was my fault.I hope this review replaces my previous one.

I bought these last April. Went on 2 camping trips last year. The door was flipping open and I’m now getting around to looking at it for our first trip. I thought surely both couldn’t have broken. Maybe the spring became unaligned??? Nope both broken to bits. Is this normal? Or a bad batch? Would love to hear from the manufacture. This doesn’t seem right. The originals at least lasted 8 years. Please help a camper out here. I’m willing to give be if it of doubt that it’s just a bad batch or something.

This product works but the seller clearly takes advantage of the price of the OEM product. That said, it's still half of what one would pay for the Dometic hinge so I'm really just complaining....couldn't have cost more than a few pennies to make this with a 3D printer! It is also, by the seller's admission, just a bit "beefier," by design to increase the strength but the trade-off is that it becomes just a bit harder to install. I've had these things on and off several times in the past, and this is by far the tightest fit I've seen.I don't think you will be disappointed with it though as it does seem well-made and the R and L on each hinge makes it easy not to make a mistake in assembly. Pay special attention to which spring you install on which side though. If there is some of the yellow and blue paint on your old springs, it will be easy as the yellow goes on the right side, blue on the left side when looking at the fridge from the front with the door open. I found the use of a putty knife (no wider than 1 1/2 inches), again as the seller suggests, to slide the door over the hinge on the way in to be a good idea. I put a bit of Vaseline on the door-side of the hinge that seemed to let it slide a bit easier. You might have to play with the tension of the spring a bit, which is essentially controlled by the position of the small arm on the hinge. Too far up and the door doesn't seem to have enough force to close properly.....too far down and the tension might be too great and invite cracking of the hinge. You're just trying to get it to close all the way and fairly tightly to keep the freezer as cold as possible. After all, that is why Dometic put that gasket on there (which over the years incidentally becomes useless as it gets brittle and cracks).I would recommend this product to a friend.

I was not sure how to install them but it’s fairly easy, perfect fit, I would buy again but don’t need to, I recommend that product for the freezer door hinges on my domitic 2454.
