Worked great for me.

The item was poorly designed. When the lens cover is on the camera, you cannot physically open the charging port and charge your camera. You must remove the protector in order to charge your X3.

It's a little inconvenient because it blocks the u. SB port, so it's hard to plug in my memory expansion. I just don't use it with the lens covers, but the lens covers work. Great, and protect the camera and it's really nice

I bought this because I had a new X3 and was scared I would scratch it.I have scratch coverage for it but the RMA to Insta360 is an annoying process and will take weeksmonths.I had no issue installing this and removing it to clear it off of small debris that found its way in.Going forward to the day of editing, and I noticed that this thing has caused such a huge stitch line, even with the "lens cover" mode activated.I think its because the glasses sits higher than the one Insta360 provides (theirs suck anyways). Not only that, the quality of the image was heavily affected. My 5k shot looked like 720p with this on.I completely stopped using this whenever I record now, but I still use this as a protective guard whenever my X3 is in the bag.You don't want to use cloth or even those rubber cover to protect your X3 because if a small rockdebris goes into it, the rubbercloth will rub it all over the glass and you will get scratches. With this though, you can cover the lens and there is enough spacing between this and the X3 glass that even if small rockdebris goes in, its a non issue.Overall this is a 3/5 since it is great as a protective cover, but really bad to use during recording.

Brought it to go skiing with so the lens doesn’t get scratched up after a fall. Great protection as it clasps the camera with quite a bit of force. However didn’t end up using it much as the video was slightly distorted

I have used this all the time on my camera. It's cheap and inexpensive and does work and has protected my camera lens from getting scratched.

Protecting x3 lenses is paramount and this cover did a great job of protecting them during multiple car drives and produced great videos. It clicked right on, securely and I had no worries about it coming off. I did not experience any fogging issues but I was not in a high humidity area. Stitch lines were usable and the benefits of protecting the lines is the sacrifice.

The protective glass is very clear and (according to manufacturer specs) resistant for scratches. It fits perfectly with my Insta360 X3 with one click. Of course, it adds some visual defects when the camera stitches front and back frames in a certain position. For critical captures, you always can take the cover case off.

fits nice and snug. I like having this rather than the crappy sticky lenses that you have to replace all the time.I don’t know if they’ll fog in hot places like the sticky lense. Also, I don’t always see stitching issues and when I have it’s been minimalThis kicks anus, get one!

So we all want the same thing: to protect our lenses for a camera that, by design, are most often in rough and tumble environments. That's where issues with this product start. The X3's OEM rubber protective cover, that does fit over the sticky covers, does not fit over this thing. So you have to take it off which means you'll have to clean both your lenses, and the inside and outside of both lenses on the protective cover.I don't believe they're made of glass, just plastic. So when they say they're glass protectors, what they're actually is saying these plastic things "protect glass."It would be worth the expense if they didn't degrade the images and video. The housing feels cheap, so add that to being ineffective. Would I buy the again? Nah, as much as I hate the sticky ones for their installation and removal pain, at least the covers and cases and rigs for the X3 still fit. So my suggestion is hold off until Insta160 manufactures a quality one.

I bought this product about a week ago. Was happy to have something to protect my lens on my camera. Went out riding with it and it got chipped by a rock or something else and now when I film it shows a nasty place on my videos. Was bummed 🙁 it didn’t last as long as I was hoping especially for the money I paid for it. Thought I was getting one of the better ones out there for it but it’s not any better. It fits nice and snug around my camera and lens but chipped pretty easy. It did protect my camera lens however so I guess it did it’s job , but now I have to find a different one to film with.
