Needed a smaller binder. This one is well made and has stops to keep from screwing the ends all the way out.

this is a good binder. adjusters have stop that keep them from unscrewing when binding. other units i have unscrew and you have to thread them back in causing delays.

I just received this 1/4-5/16" ratcheting load binder tonight. I measured the exact length from top inside hook to bottom inside hook. Fully closed: 16" long. Fully extended: 19-3/4" long. Total Travel Length is 3-3/4", not 6" like one reviewer said. I just wanted to be clear and not be misleading people with an inaccurate description. Others must have measured from hook edge to hook edge, and you can't use that length when binding chains together (unusable length). More to come when I finally am able to use it more.

I purchased 3 of these binders. They work great and the pricing is good. Just be sure to keep the threads greased since they're in the weather all the time.
