This product requires live and neutral wires!
The input (L IN) marked on the Infrared IR Sensor Light Switch is connected to the live wire of the power supply (live wire in), and the input (N IN) is connected to the neutral wire of the power supply (neutral wire in).
The output (L OUT) is connected to the live wire (live wire out) of the device to be controlled, and the output (N OUT) is connected to the neutral wire (neutral wire out) of the device to be controlled.

When I read the description before ordering this switch, I suspected it wasn't UL or ETL listed/certified. I have confirmed it is indeed not any of those things which did not surprise me.What did surprise me was that there is no way for a ground wire to attach to the switch.I also don't like how the wires actually attach to the switch. The wire (in my case 14 gage) is inserted into a relatively speaking large hole and a relatively small screw clamps down on it to hold it in place. There is no plate or v-shaped locking device so the screw forces the wire to one side. I was really worried about a wire or two coming out when I was pushing everything into the box so I tightened the screws as tight as I could. The screws themselves need a #1 phillips head screwdriver.I got it all connected tightly and back in the box and the switch works really well.
