I enjoyed using my older model SyncUp in my "ICE" (internal combustion engine) car. It was great for obtaining a plethora of information from the OBDII (computer access data port) and providing in-cabin, cellular Wi-Fi. I now have an EV (all-electric vehicle) and the OBDII port is not compatible with it. This device is best solution available. There are fewer functions, but the Wi-Fi and location services keep the SyncUP usability worthwhile.

As previous reviewers have mentioned, this product does not work with T-Mobile SyncUP Drive SD-7000T. I still gave it a try, as the description did not state that it would be incompatible.I received the product, attempted to use it, and found that it would still time out after 5 minutes of inactivity. I reached out to the seller and was directed towards another product, that stated it was compatible with the SD-7000T. I received the other product, and it still did not work.

This adapter does not work for my SyncUP drive SD-7000T. The unit still times out and shuts off after 5 minutes. I have also tried using the AC adapter and it also times out. I setup for a return, and purchased another adapter that says it will work with the unit I have. Hopefully the next onewon’t time out.****Update**** I received the Universal V4 for the T-Mobile SyncUP drive SD-7000T. This adapter also doesn’t work. Times out after 5 minutes, even when plugged into the wall at home with good service. I contacted their technical support, but haven’t gotten a response. Looks like I’ll be sending this one back as well. I wish one of these products would work as advertised.

I read a few bad reviews about this product but I was desperate and purchased it anyway. Well, it did not work as advertised so I contacted tech support, here in America, and they were EXTREMELY helpful in getting the problem resolved. Turns out it was a user error and I was so grateful they proactively followed up with me, over the course of several days, until the problem was resolved. I would defiantly purchase more from this vendor if needed in the future. Thanks again, PeraltaProducts. No, this is not a paid advertisement:)RobertAustin, TX

I have to free space for an OBD2 scanner I use frequently so I decided to use this with a 12v USB adapter that’s always hot directly from the battery. As of right now, everything is working great and no complaints!

So far it works as advertised!. The T-mobile sync up no longer shuts down five minutes later after turning the car off. Now I can take advantage of the dash cam cloud security features by receiving text alerts for car breakin, hit and run, and motion detecting. As I stated earlier everything is working as advertised however I do wish the company offer an extended warranty for the adapter for extra peace of mind

I've had it about a month with no problems. Just plug and go. It looks a little homemade, so I would suggest a plastic sleeve or braided cable for a nicer finish. One part glued together has separated, but does not affect performance. Plug this into a larger portable battery pack (Mine is 20,000 mAh) and turn it into portable wifi as an added bonus. Edit: 05/22/18- It is inoperable at this time, due to some workmanship issues, I have emailed to company for relief and will update my rating accordingly when they respond. Second edit: No response from the manufacturer about this product. It has come apart at a soldering point on the circuit board, a glued part on the wiring and on the USB connector. I cannot recommend purchasing due to the lack of support from the manufacturer/seller.
