Instructions:

  1. Connect the cable marked "IN" to the MIDI "OUT" socket of a MIDI keyboard (or MIDI device).
  2. 2Connect the cable marked "OUT" to the MIDI "IN" socket of a MIDI keyboard (or MIDI device).
  3. Plug the USB cable into any free USB socket on your computer.
  4. Open your music software program, e.g. Cubae, Sonar, MIDI Connections, etc.
  5. Set the music programs MIDI in and MIDI out devices to "USB Audio Device".
  6. Your USB to MIDI interface is now ready for use.
  7. To save potential problems, it is recommended that this interface is always connected to the same SUB as it was originally installed on USB to prevent multiple installations of the driver.

I bought this cable so that I could plug in my 2007 Yamaha PSR E313 piano into my computer and use it with Cubase. When I plug it in, the light is red and the blue flashing light also appears. Even in my DAW, I can see that the system is picking up "USB Midi Interface" and Midi Port Setup looks correct. I even havae the piano set in PC Mode, like the manual says to do. However, playing the keys on the keyboard registers absolutely nothing in my DAW. By all appearances, it *should* be working, but it just doesn't.
